Remits 1-4 failed, however the remit concerning a re-write of the Constitution and ByLaws will be re-submitted at a later date to be discussed at a Special General Meeting. Details will be advised in due course. The two remits passed at the AGM were as follows: Remit 5: MInutes of the Executive will be circulated within five days of approval, however there will be some discussion points and names kept "in committee". This will be determined byt the Executive. Remit 6: Related to international players coming to New Zealand to play for clubs during the season. It was agreed that if these players were registered prior to the final registration date set each year to be eligible to attend National Championships, then there would be no "stand down" period before they can participate with the team they are registered to play for. In GENERAL BUSINESS there was discussion regarding; Under 10 Grade being included in Inter regionals; agreed that this would be reviewed once numbers at national championships increased. Players Born Jan 1st; It was agreed that a player born on the 1st Jan ( 12th birthday) could play Under 12 in 2010 for the Penguins Club. This was a "one-off" dispensation for 2010. Clubs could apply for consideration in special circumstances to be determined by the Executive or by the General Assembly. Regional Boundaries; a request from the Vipers club for a review of the regional boundaries. Playing Rule Changes: The rule changes advised in April were to be put on hold and re-advised to allow clubs and players time to adjust their game strategies. More information will follow. Clubs have already been advised

Page 2 of 6 that the changes will be put on hold. Drug Screening; A policy will be developed to ensure all players are aware of their obligations in relation to the NZ Anti Doping Policy and the World Anti Doping Agency policy as it applies to representative players. Note that the following statement is included in the National Championships Event Notice Special Note: New Zealand Inline Hockey Association Condemns the use of Prohibited Substances and Prohibited Methods in sport; Seeks to protect the health and welfare of Athletes by removing the use of potentially dangerous Prohibited Substances and Prohibited Methods from sport; Seeks to ensure that Athletes are able to compete in fair and equitable sporting events; and Recognises that Doping is fundamentally contrary to the spirit of sport. NZIHA advises all players at National Club Championships that drug testing may be carried out. The event hosted by NZIHA in 2010 was "simply amazing". Excellent feedback, we even have our own supported page set up on facebook. The teams played well, outshined their opposition and won seven of nine grades.

Page 3 of 6 Thanks to all coaches, managers, officials, referees, scorebench staff, announcers and a special thank you to the 18 & Under team who assisted with the opening ceremony by providing a first ever demonstration played under "black light" with specially prepared flouroescent "uniforms" to ensure an enjoyable spectacle of light. The local club "loaned" Itan Chavira to the "light warriors" to provide an added highlight. The crowds were excellent throughout the event, with players from both sides of the Tasman attending most games to support their team mates. Oceania Trophies displayed by Shane Clark (left) and Dion Bunt (right) Shane is the coach of the New Zeland Senior Men and the New Zeland Masters teams as well as being a player in the NZ Masters team. Dion Bunt is captain of the New Zealand Senior Men's team. The New Zealand 18U team along with Itan Chavira had the crowd pumping on opening night with their "light warrior" display of Inline Hockey under "black lights" - a New Zealand first.
