Runners will receive both a gun time and chip or net time. SWITCHING DISTANCES If you registered for the 10K and would like to switch to the 5K, please let us know no later than Wednesday, December 17th at noon. This gives us time to update the database and your bib number. The ideal thing to do with the second chip is to just not pick it up until after you finish the 5K. The packet pick-up for the 10K does not close until the race starts. So, you should pick up your bib and chip for the 5K, run the 5K and then pick up your bib and chip for the 10K. If you run the races back-to-back without waiting until the start time of the 10K, you will not get an official time for the 10K and you may mess up the scoring when you cross the start line and finish line the second time. EXTRA PAID MERCHANDISE Any merchandise that you purchased during registration will be mailed to you approximately three weeks after you register. At packet pickup, you will only receive your official race shirt, along with your goodie bag, timing chip and bib number. WEATHER AND SAFETY ISSUES We all know that the weather in Colorado is day to day. The average low temperature in mid December is 17 degrees and the average high temperature is 45 degrees. There may be snow or ice on the course, there may be rain, it may be muddy, and it may be nice. We will just have to wait and see what shows up on race day. The race will be run no matter what the weather! Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, and animals, are not allowed in the race. Dogs are not permitted on the grounds at Hudson Gardens. PERSONAL COMMUNICATION PLAN Prior to arriving at the race, be sure to establish a communications plan with your family and friends. Share with them where you will be and when you plan on arriving back home. If you have family and friends that will be attending the event as well, come up with a reuniting plan before you arrive. CANCELLATION POLICY Entry fees are non-refundable; race numbers and entries cannot be transferred to another year or person. No exceptions. This means once we have received your entry, you will not receive a refund if you choose not to participate. RUNNING THE DOUBLE If you are signed up for the double, you will get two bibs and two chips, one for each race. You need to first run the 5K and finish. Then you need to change your bib number and your chip number, and then wait for the start of the 10K before you start. Do not take both chips with you during any of the races as this will mess up your results. 4 santastampede.com
