PAGE 4 RECORDS AND RESULTS UPDATE & IMPORTANT INFORMATION 5 OR MORE PBS Well done to the following athletes who achieved 5 or more PBs last week. Ribbons will be in your Age Group folder. Athlete PBs U8B L SPEAKMAN 5 U9G A CITER 5 U15G P SILVER 5 U17B E KHALLOUF 5 PENTATHLON RESULTS Please check online the athlete results from the 4/11/17 to enable the pentathlon results to be finalised. Any discrepancies please let Jacki know jquirke@bigpond.net.au by this Saturday. RESULT ROUNDING Remember: Our results system rounds race results to the 10th of a second as per the NDLAC local rules and the requirement of Little Athletics. This may mean there may be a difference between the time recorded on the ticket to what you see on the website. At the end of the races some key officials will record the result as it appears on the timer which maybe to the 100th of a second however once the results are loaded into our system they will be automatically round up. For example, a ticket may have a time of 15.46s but when entered onto our results system the time will appear as 15.5s. This process is applied to all times and all athletes. ACTION PHOTOS + NEW PASSWORD A huge NDLAC thank you again to Sean Collins - one of our fantastic Dads - who has kindly provided hundreds of photos from the Sat 21 & 28 October meets. PAGE 6 UNDER 7G UNDER 7B UNDER 8G UNDER 9G UNDER 11G UNDER 12G UNDER 13G UNDER 13B UNDER 14G AGE MANAGER REPORTS SAT 4 NOVEMBER 2017 The girls retained their enthusiasm all day despite the cold and rain. The girls got off to a flying start in the 500m, with the all of the girls either achieving PB s, or coming so close to their existing PB s. Sophie smashed her previous PB by 20 seconds. It was wonderful to see the girls cheering on all the other age groups for their races, showing great sportsman(girl)ship. With Paul s encouragement and guidance at the long jump pit, even with the rain falling, the girls produced some Amazing jumping with PB s galore for the long jump. Emma F bettering her PB by 25cm, Sienna jumping 2.64m, Marli 2.65m and Maddi a whopping 2.75m. A fantastic effort all day girls! A solid effort by the team with 17 turning out to run on Saturday. Many PBs - being smashed by the boys with Niall achieving PBs in all 5 events. All the boys are pushing a stretching themselves, which is fabulous to see. The day was rounded off by long with the long jump ninja, in the rain. The boys digging deep and giving it heaps. Cam Another great week from the U8 girls. We saw some gorgeous smiles and crazy faces for photo day... and some great PBs! Special mention to Monique for pushing herself extra hard this week and also to Nela who received our maccas award for some great PBs, especially in the 700m where she improved by around 30 seconds!!! See you this week for pinkletics girls. Michelle and Mark. A cold and wet day didn t put off our great Under 9G team. A great attendance for our girls and Pentathlon day. Everybody performed really well in the conditions, and again quite a few PBs achieved throughout the events. The girls are certainly now hitting their stride with techniques for all field events and their speed of running. Well done and keep it up!! A very chilly Saturday for us all. The girls were absolute troupers doing their very best. They all got to run the 100 together which was great. We managed to finish before the rain set in. See you all in your pink next week. Liz Well a very wet start to the morning and that theme continued throughout the day. It didn't deter the small group of girls who provided some great results including a total of 6 PBs in the SP. April yet again managed a SB in the LJ with a jump of 4m.12cm. Special mention to Allanah who jumped a PB as well in the LJ. 400m saw a total of 4PBs and Evie with a great 1500m. Top effort girls and a reminder to wear pink next week to support the McGrath foundation. Scott & Amanda. With a small team of two this weekend it was a quick turn around on each event except the last one being the dreaded 1500m. One of the girls decided to smash it out in the rain. Great effort by both girls on all events and a beautiful display of sportsmanship in the 100m. Looking forward to Pinkletics this weekend. We had the smallest group in my 5 years of being an age manager - 3 boys. Good on you Malakye, Riley and Zac. We got through the first few events very quickly but like most others got caught up for a long time waiting for the 1500m at the end of the program. We did manage to run the 100m with the 2 U13 girls for a bit more competition. Trevor The girls put in a fantastic effort across all 5 events today, a new SB to Maya in 400M and Summer in SP the highlights. The wait ahead of our 1500M final event allowed for a new PB in chatting also! See you all in pink next week.

PAGE 7 SET UP AND PACK-UP ASSISTANCE 2017/2018 SEASON Compared to other sports, Little Athletics needs a larger number of parents to help run all events. Parents find that they get a great deal of enjoyment from active participation in their children s sport and your assistance is greatly appreciated. The minimum requirement is for one parent per family to assist every second week In addition, each age group is rostered twice each season to assist with setting up the oval before competition AND packing up the oval after the completion of competition. Please make sure you are at the oval at 7.30am to assist with set-up. You can sign in at the table under the orange Jetstar tent and get pointed in the right direction to help out!
