PERMIT: ACU50582 PCL: 009GP FINAL INSTRUCTIONS & SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS FIM SUPERBIKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING SUPPORT RACES DONINGTON PARK GP CIRCUIT 26.27.28 MAY 2017 This event is organised by MotorSport Vision Racing, affiliated to the Auto-Cycle Union as a recognised promoter. The Pirelli National Superstock 1000, Pirelli National Superstock 600 form part of the MCRCB British and National Championships and will adopt the relevant MCRCB Judicial, General and Championship Regulations as detailed in the 2017 MCRCB Yearbook. The ADAC NEC will be held under its published regulations and will adopt the above local regulations. In the event of conflict the local regulations will prevail. 1. PADDOCK The support race working paddocks will be located on the tarmac lake behind Redgate. The areas will be supplied with generator power, the paddock will be accessible to the public. 2. ACCESS & ARRIVAL TIME All team arrivals will be on Thursday 25 May 15:00-19:00hrs, Friday 26 May 08:00-15:00 and Saturday 27 May 08:00-13:00. THERE WILL BE NO ACCESS BEFORE OR AFTER THESE TIMES. 3. ARRIVAL PROCEDURE Teams should enter via the Market Entrance on Melbourne Lane (this is the one after the normal paddock gate entrance), and follow the roadway up the hill to the Holding Area. THE LAUNCH PAD BUILDING WILL BE USED FOR RIDER SIGN ON/TICKET & TYRE STICKER COLLECTION BUT THIS IS A PEDESTRIAN AREA SO TEAMS SHOULD ATTEND FROM THE HOLDING AREA. Whilst the rider does not need to be present for the initial pass collection ALL riders must sign on again for this event, only after this time will tyre stickers be released. Signing on will take place in the Launch Pad building on Thursday 15:00-19:00 and from 08:00 Friday and 08:00 Saturday. Team working and rider living vehicles are to remain in the holding area and follow the instructions of the MSVR paddock parking team. Please do not initially enter the paddock. There is no private vehicle access via the market entrance, parking is outside of the 10 perimeter wall in the public areas. PASS ALLOCATION THE PASS ALLOCATION THIS EVENT IS: Superstock 1000 and Superstock 600 NO BSB ADMISSION PASSES OF ANY TYPE ARE VALID AT THIS EVENT.
WSB are operating an open paddock so all passes allow access to the paddock. At signing on riders will collect up to 4 pit lane passes for access for their class, these passes include admission to the circuit. Teams will also collect up to 4 team guest tickets. 1 BSB working vehicle pass + 1 BSB riders living vehicle pass will be valid for vehicles. The allocation is fixed. Only working vehicles displaying passes will be admitted into the paddock, once parked working vehicles MUST remain in place. Living vehicles will be lead to the separate designated area. Any additional vehicles without passes will not be afforded access to the support paddock area and must park in general parking areas outside of the circuit perimeter. Additional weekend general admission tickets are available to purchase on from Race Administration at the discounted price of 40 each (current advanced price 57.75, on the gate price 70). All tickets provide access to the support race paddock. ADAC NEC At signing on riders will collect up to 5 pit lane passes for access for their class, these passes include admission to the circuit. Teams will also collect up to 4 team guest tickets. 1 working vehicle pass + 1 riders living vehicle pass will be allocated if required for a riders vehicles. The allocation is fixed. Only working vehicles displaying passes will be admitted into the paddock, once parked working vehicles MUST remain in place. Living vehicles will be lead to the separate designated area. Any additional vehicles, cars etc. without passes will not be afforded access to the support paddock area and must park in general parking areas outside of the circuit perimeter. 4. PITLANE ACCESS PITLANE, SIGNAL WALL & GRID ACCESS VALID DURING THE SUPPORT RACE PRACTICE AND RACE PERIODS ONLY THERE IS STRICTLY NO ACCESS TO THE SBK PITLANE WHILST SBK ACTIVITIES ARE IN PROGRESS. PASSES MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES DURING THE EVENT. ADMISSION FOR WORKERS IS VIA BEHIND REDGATE SUITES AND THROUGH THE PADDOCK TECHNICAL BAY.
5. ENTRY/EXIT OF THE CIRCUIT Prior to all practices and races riders assemble at gate 1: 8mins prior to the session start and 20 mins prior to race start. All riders will then be escorted across the paddock by the MSVR paddock team to the Melbourne Hairpin and go into the pit lane entrance prior to Goddards corner. All sessions will commence from pit lane. MACHINES MAY NOT MOVE ALONE FROM THE TARMAC LAKE TO MELBOURNE HAIRPIN SO LATE ARRIVAL AT ASSEMBLY WILL PREJUDICE YOUR PARTICIPATION. THE ONLY AUTHORISED PIT LANE ENTRANCE IS THE ONE BEFORE GODDARDS CORNER. At the end of FREE PRACTICE sessions riders leave the circuit at the Melbourne Loop back into the support paddock. At the end of QUALIFYING PRACTICES and the RACES riders to complete one slowing down lap and enter the pit lane to go to parc ferme. After parc ferme is completed teams must push not ride machines back to the tarmac lake. 6. RACE ADMINISTRATION Open Thursday 15:00-19:00 and then daily from 08:00-19:00 hrs, and will be staffed by MSVR. Transponders will be available for weekend rental ( 30 or 40 euros) at this location and results will also be brought over for collection after each session. 7. SIGN ON, TECHNICAL CONTROL AND BRIEFING SCHEDULE All riders in all classes must sign on at this event at Race Administration ADAC ALL RIDERS BRIEFING Friday 10:00 ONLY Superstock 1000 and 600 riders who have not competed at a BSB meeting this year must attend a compulsory briefing this will be by arrangement via Race Admin. Technical Control for all classes is in the Launch Pad building as follows: Friday: 11:15-12:00 ADAC NEC MOTO3 12:00-12:45 Superstock 1000 Saturday: 13:45-14:30 Superstock 600 8. PADDOCK TRANSPORT THE USE OF SCOOTERS OR ANY FORM OF MOTORISED PERSONAL TRANSPORT WITHIN THE WORKING AND LIVING PADDOCKS IS NOT PERMITTED AT THIS EVENT.
9. PODIUM & PRIZES The support race podium will be located at the grandstand end of pit lane for all classes. All team members wishing to view must have a pit lane pass. 10. SAFETY CAR The standard safety car regulation will apply for all classes. The BSB BMW M2 Safety Car will be used at this event and the deployment point is pit exit and it will leave the circuit at the pit lane entrance prior to Goddards. 11. START PROCEDURE For all classes the standard start procedure will be employed, preceded by the transit period from Melbourne Hairpin to the pit lane. There will be a five minutes period for sighting laps and ONE warm up lap. 12. PRACTICE START ZONES The practice start zones are defined as 1) the pit lane exit at any time or 2) on the straight after Coppice Corner (Turn 8) on the riders right hand side where indicated by the sign Practice Start on the lap after the taking the chequered flag at the end of a practice session. 13. TIMING INFORMATION Timing and results data will be taken to the support race administration centre as soon possible after the sessions. Please ensure that we hold your correct transponder number or if this is your first event that you register your transponder number at signing on. 14. TYRE AND FUEL SERVICE Both Pirelli and WP Racing Solutions will be located in the support paddock. Thank you for your co-operation we wish you a safe and successful event.
