The Fédération Internationale d Inter-Crosse (FIIC), created in Paris in June 1985, is an international federation gathering national federations for the purpose of contributing, by the promotion of the sport of inter-crosse, to the education of a better citizen. The FIIC is a democratic, non profit, apolitical and non discriminatory federation. Wednesday, 9 January 2008 Invitation FIIC Intercrosse World Games 2008 Fédération Internationale d Inter-Crosse (FIIC) together with the Klub Pampúch Prievidza hereby invites you as a member of the FIIC to take part in the 20th edition of the FIIC Intercrosse World Games. About World Games World Games is an FIIC sponsored event held annually in July-August since 1985. The tournament is played with mixed teams (men and women play together). World Games is not a tournament of traditional teams but rather a social tournament where the teams are composed of players from different countries. The teams are divided by a draw of lots at the opening ceremony of the tournament. World Games aim to increase communication between intercrosse players world-wide and at the same time offer players a forum to learn about the game, both socially and technically.
Where and when? World Games will be held in Prievidza, Slovakia, August 5. -10. 2008. Prievidza is located in the middle of Slovakia, 170 km faraway from its capital Bratislava. Arrival date is Tuesday, 5th of August, and departure on Sunday, the 10th of August. Games are played in Prievidza sport hall, which is the primary indoor sports arena in Prievidza. Accommodation is primarily situated at B&B and hotel facilities 10-15 minutes walking distance from the hall. Who can attend? The FIIC Intercrosse World Games is open for any player, male and female, aged 17 or older. Registrations are only accepted from official FIIC members or specially invited nations. Registration Registration is made in two steps; Registration to the FIIC (deadline April 30 2008). Send your registration by e-mail to the FIIC secretary at secretary@inter-crosse.com. The registration shall include the following information: o Country. o Name, e-mail and phone number of delegation contact person. Registration to the organisers (deadline May 31 2008). Send your registation by e-mail to the organisers at ivos12@gmail.com The registration shall include the following information: o Country. o Name of participants. o Age of participants. o Gender of participants. o Playing position of participants (goalkeeper / field player). o Personal preferences (vegetarian food, allergies etc.) o Name, e-mail and phone number of delegation contact person. Important! Registration is not considered valid until full payment has been received.
Costs All costs involved with the tournament are to be paid by the participants.
