ADMINISTRATOR S MESSAGE: by Dan O Neal Greetings All, As we approach the end of our Moose Year in April, we need your help. Our application production has fallen woefully short of expectations this year. Last year we had 132 applications vs only 68 this year. Naturally, the total number of members on the rolls is also down drastically. We began the year with 925 and thru Feb 2 nd had only 816 for a loss of 109! When we signed the obligation of membership we promised to strengthen our ranks by sponsoring members. Since May 1 st only 44 members have sponsored a male member and seventeen of those sponsors are women. Let s do the math.27 out of 925 male members who sponsored that s only 2.92%!! Surely we can do better, please consider asking a friend or family member to join with us. Thanks in advance, Fraternally, Dan O'Neal Check out the Special Rates to become a Moose Member Membership is really a bargain, especially when you consider all of the benefits of being a member For only $45 per man s application, you can sponsor your Brother, Dad, and all your buddies. This includes new and re-enrollments. SHARE YOUR LODGE WOTM application fees are now being waived until April 30, 2019. Join now for only $35 per year. Remember, men can now sign up women, and women can sign up men. Talk to all of your family & friends... 4 FROM THE KITCHEN By Karen Collins Welcome to 2019. Wishing everyone a healthy and blessed year. Saturday Night is now available 3 times a month. Come early as it runs out fast. If you re having a large group for, please call me ahead of time to let me know how many. I may need to prepare extra. Friday is all you can eat fish.. It is crispy beer battered, or you may choose dry country batter. It s your choice. In addition, we have a weekly special on Fridays and full menu both Friday and Saturday. Saturday, March 16th will be our Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner. NO other food will be offered that night. Thursday night spaghetti now offers Baked Spaghetti, shrimp Alfredo, or our All You Can Eat spaghetti. Where else can you eat and get a full meal plus beverage for only $6.00??. As most of you know, I will be having a knee replacement on Feb.25th. I ll be out for a while, but my helpers, Ken Herman and Al Caime will do a great job cooking for you. Keep me in your prayers and I will be back ASAP. Looking forward to seeing you. Jr. Graduate Regent s Message by Jenny Stoner Our Moose Year will end April 30, 2019 & we still have time to meet our Quota! We must continue to increase our membership in order to qualify for the Chapter Achievement Award. This is very important. Our Officers and Chairmen work very hard all year long in order to get this award. We are all volunteers. Did you know that by being a WOTM Officer or a Chairmen we earn our Women of the Moose Degrees; Academy of Friendship Degree, Star Recorder, College of Regents. You may see us wear our Blue, Green, and Black Jackets, when we have Special meetings and functions during our year. Our new and some older members don t know why we are working so hard. Our main mission is Mooseheart & Moosehaven. Every time you renew your dues you are helping with our mission. Every time you sign someone up to become a member of our Lodge or Chapter you are helping with our mission. Please see an Officer if you are interested and don t know how to become more involved. If you want to learn more about Moose, they will be glad to guide and inform you. We will be glad to have your help! Our Ballroom is under renovations, so please bear with us, as we continue to have our events and offer entertainment. Please consider attending our meetings, they are held at 7:30pm on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, unless a change needs to be made. Check the calendar. We look forward to seeing you at our many functions and our meetings. Please be aware of announcements, notices, and posters/flyers, as major changes are happening in March and April! Please support our WOTM Raffles and other events! We do have good news that will hopefully aid in increasing our membership, the WOTM will waive the application fees for new members through April of this year. Ladies, you can sign up friends and family for only $35.00. Also, please keep us updated with current phone # s and email address s. As always, I would like to thank all Co-workers & Officers who work so diligently throughout our Chapter and Lodge. We really appreciate our Co-workers and all that they do to help make Our Lodge Safe & Enjoyable. Fraternally, Jenny 12 Wearin O The Green Dance Saturday March 16, 2019 7:30-10:30 Music by: Country Classics $5.00 donation at the Door Sponsored by the Sports & Activities Committee of the WOTM Lodge Improvement Committee John Boruch, chairman Hello Everyone. Well, we started up this new pool session with 6 teams, up from the previous session of 4 teams. That s nice, real nice! This is a fun league and everyone is liking it! The important thing to remember is what was said before: What a Concept: - Play pool and win money. We are playing 14 weeks and are in our 6 th week. The next session will be staring in April and if you are interested in playing, look for signup sheets and details on the Lodge bulletin board in March. We are also working on scheduling a Jack & Jill pool tournament either in March or April. Flyers and posters will be announcing the date when we get a firm one. The Chili Cook-off on February 2 was a great success with 12 entries. Bill Hoyt won first place, Lee Atkins 2 nd, and Dan Wark 3 rd. There were lots of sides. We also had a Blind Draw for our pool players. Everyone had a great time. Thanks to Danny Keel, John Boruch, & Bill and Donna Hoyt for putting up the decorations and handling the whole day. John Boruch 5

Governor s Message By Danny Keel Hello Everyone! By the time you read this, the ball room should be almost completed. As of this writing the ceiling and the floor have been removed, the walls have a new fresh layer of sheetrock, and the curtain that closes off the back half of the ballroom has been removed and replaced with a wall and 4 sets of French doors. The main bar has been replaced. That means, LOL, we have built OUR WALL! When completed we will have a brand new ballroom, one that we can all be proud of. Check out some of the progress pictures on the adjacent page. We really appreciate your patience with this project, and know you won t be disappointed. Because of you, our loyal members, we have scheduled Sunday, March 10th to celebrate our new room. We will have a Membership Appreciation day to dedicate the new room. Each one of you will get a free dinner, 2 free drinks, plus free entertainment. This will be one of the biggest days in the history of our Lodge. We will have door prizes and do a 50/50, and we will have other surprises in store!! So save the date, mark your calendars, come out and enjoy the festivities of presenting our new Ball Room to all of you. Look for new details on a donation drive so we can renovate our social quarters. We will go over the details at the membership party. Here s a sneak peek at our progress!
