CHECKIN TIME : Check-in will close at 9.30am. Bowling will commence at 10.00am, after briefing. Cost: $45.00 Eligibility: 1. Selection is open to all 2011 TBA registered bowlers, residing in Victoria (including Albury), with a disability, and whose condition is acknowledged by one of the following National Sporting Organisations for People with a Disability being: Ausrapid, Special Olympics Australia, Australian Sports Organisation for the Disabled, Cerebral Palsy Sports and Recreation Federation of Australia, Wheelchair Sports Australia, Australian Blind Sports Federation, Transplant Australia or Deaf Sports Australia. 2. Bowlers must have bowled a minimum of 24 games in a TBA league bowled within a Victorian TBA Registered Centre (including Albury) during this current year and continue to bowl in a TBA league until the completion of the tournament in 2012. League games completed as pre or post bowling do not count towards the number of games bowled. 3. All bowlers will be required to present their 2011 TBA Registered Player Card, or receipt of payment, at check-in. Only 2011 TBA Registered Player Cardholders will be permitted to bowl. 4. In order to participate in these State Team Trials, bowlers must have been a resident of Victoria for at least six (6) months prior to 3 rd December 2011. Format: Campbelltown Trophies Scratch team for bowlers with an average of 140 and above All bowlers will bowl 6 games, after which the top six (6) bowlers with the highest pinfall will automatically be selected into the 2012 Victorian team to compete in the Campbelltown Trophies State Teams Challenge Shield. Narellan Trophies Handicapped team for bowlers with and average of 139 and under All bowlers will bowl 6 games with handicap added to their scratch pinfall after which the top six (6) bowlers with the highest pinfall including handicap will be selected into the 2012 Victorian team to compete in the Narellan Trophies State Teams Challenge. For handicap purposes, handicap will be 100% of the difference between the player s individual average and a base figure of 200. The TBA Australian Disabilities Teams Challenge will be held at AMF Moonah, Tasmania, 23 rd June to 29 th June 2012. Selection Fees & Payment: Upon selection, team members will be required to pay the following amounts as a contribution towards team expenses (In the vicinity of $1000.00). This is a guide only and is based upon costs known and reasonably estimated as at October 2011. Once costs such as lineage and accommodation are more accurate, the final cost to team members may vary. $200 - Payable by 31 st January 2012 $200 - Payable by 28 th February 2012 $200 - Payable by 31 st March 2012 $200 - Payable by 30 th April 2012 Balance - Payable by 15 th May 2012 Page 2 of 5
All monies due by team members must be paid by the specified date or they will be replaced by the next available reserve. Any monies paid will only be refundable by written request after deduction of the committee s expenses and outlays. This amount is subject to fundraising and other available funds, with VicTenpins assisting where possible. Any shortfall in teams funding may have to be met by the team members. These monies will provide each bowler payment for lineage, national entries, accommodation (7 nights including breakfast), 1 bowling shirt, 1 practice shirt, 1 team jacket, dinner dance ticket, team photograph, ground transport and lunch during the tournament days. Transport type and costs will be the responsibility of the respective team members to arrive in Tasmania Note: bowlers will be expected to pay for remaining meals, lunches on non-tournament days, any additional Nationals squads and any other incidentals that the bowler may require. Refunds are not available for participants who withdraw after 1 st April 2012 unless for medical or extreme cases of personal hardship where the board will make a judgement call to issue a refund if warranted. CODE OF CONDUCT These rules of conduct will apply to the VicTenpins State Team Trial competitors and the eventual representative team members. This code of conduct is to read in conjunction with the TBA Rules and Regulations. 1. Bowlers must remain in the playing area until all play is completed. 2. No food or drink in the playing area. 3. No smoking while bowling or in between games. 4. No playing of pinball machines or other amusement devices while bowling. 5. Bowlers must always conduct themselves in a polite manner. 6. No bad or offensive language to be used. 7. At no time, are unsportsmanlike remarks to be used. 8. At no time will a deliberate foul be accepted. 9. No kicking or otherwise abusing the ball returns or equipment. 10. Consumption of alcohol is prohibited whilst bowling. 11. At the discretion of the manager, curfew (if applicable) is to be at a reasonable time. 12. Room allocations are at the discretion of the managers, after consultation with individual carers. 13. All reasonable instructions given by the manager or coaches are to be carried out. 14. All rules must be adhered to or person / persons will be reprimanded and/or brought before a committee where possible suspension and exclusion from further participation may result. 15. When representing Victoria, any bowler contravening these rules will be sent home, at their own expense. 16. Any serious breach of these rules will result in automatic disqualification from bowling in any State Team Trials during 2012. 17. All bowlers should be aware of, and will be subjected to, all ASADA policies, guidelines and penalties. Any bowler not conforming to the conduct requirements of the Victorian Tenpin Bowling Association will have their right to represent Victoria revoked. In the case of illness or injury, the managers in charge, will have the authority to act in the best interests of the bowler concerned, and if necessary, seek medical assistance at their expense as per the consent form. Penalties First offence will be a verbal warning; Second offence will receive a yellow card; Third offence will receive a red card, which means that the bowler is out of the State Team trials.
