Handout 4 Announcements 2018 1. No food or drinks in the auditorium STRICTLY ENFORCED BY THE SCHOOL!! 2. No smoking on school property. 3. No parking in fire lanes. 4. During the recital all aisles and doorways are to be clear in accordance with the New York State fire prevention and building codes. 5. No dancers are allowed in the auditorium with costumes before and during recital. No dancers are allowed in the cafeteria during intermission. 6. Parents who are dressing room chaperones or parents who are helping with costume changes must exit the auditorium between dance numbers. Exiting and entering the auditorium during dances is extremely distracting for the students. 7. Absolutely no exiting from the stage. Each child will return directly to the dressing rooms after rehearsal/recital performance. Parents are not to take their children off the stage. This is for the safety of your child! 8. All students will have their hair up off their necks. Refer to your costume accessory list. 9. No underwear or jewelry for dress rehearsals and recital unless otherwise stated. 10. Every child must have all the pieces to their costume. (Ex: wristbands, choker, headpieces, correct color tights, etc.) If a child is missing a piece of their costume ALL students must perform without that piece. Please keep track of your child s accessories. 11. Please allow yourself enough time to properly park your vehicles and get into the auditorium on time as our performances will start promptly. This will enable you to find your seats before the lights go off in the auditorium and the recital begins. Thank you in advance for your continued cooperation!
Handout 5 Dressing Room Requirements 2018 At SSD we practice SAFETY FIRST! Please follow the below security measures to ensure the safety of our students! You will receive ONE color coded bracelet that must be worn in order to access the dressing room. This bracelet will be placed on the wrist of whoever will be backstage with your child. The recipient of the bracelet must be a female over the age of 18 (preferably the mother/stepmother/grandmother). There will not be multiple bracelets distributed! We will have security checking the bracelets and granting access to the backstage area. If you do not have a bracelet you will not be allowed backstage! Please be respectful of these rules and of the security staff. There will be no exceptions in order to protect your children s safety! The security staff are volunteering their time for your children and are under strict instructions from Miss Suzanne. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you and we are looking forward to a great recital! ~Miss Suzanne

Handout 8 Recital 2018 A Cut Above the Rest RECITAL TICKETS 2018 Once again we are approaching a momentous time in our children s lives. They have worked so hard this year and we are very proud of all of them! The recital will have advance ticket sales with reserved seating. Ushers will escort you to your reserved seat if you need assistance. Please find details below for the 2018 recital ticket sales. Please review this information thoroughly. All tickets will be sold on Friday, May 11 th from 6-8pm at the studio. (33 Center Street, Batavia) You will choose your seats from a chart depicting the seating locations. All tickets are $12.00 each. All ages. Each family may purchase 9 tickets per show your child is in. Extra tickets are typically available to purchase beginning on Saturday, May 12 th. There are no returns or exchanges on tickets. Be sure you know which recital your child is performing in. All tuition and costume fees must be paid in full in order to purchase tickets on May 11 th. Full May tuition is due by May 7 th. (Please refer to your policy booklet) Recital tickets must be purchased using CASH or MONEY ORDER. We will not accept personal checks or credit cards for ticket sales. If you pay your May tuition after the 7 th it MUST be made using cash or money order. Thank you for your cooperation! *All studio families must purchase their own tickets. If you are unavailable on May 11 th you must send a nonstudio related family member or friend to purchase them and they can only purchase your tickets. You may only purchase tickets on the night your child dances to avoid people purchasing tickets for multiple families. This would be unfair to the people standing in line. However, you MAY purchase someone else s tickets they do not wish to buy. For example: the Smith family only wants 2 tickets for the Saturday show and you would like the other 7 tickets. That is acceptable, but the Smith family must go back and wait in line with you after they purchase their 2 tickets and accompany you to purchase their remaining 7. When you both reach the front of the line you may purchase the 7 seats you want, and Mrs. Smith must be with you. If Mrs. Smith is in front of you, you may not cut in line and purchase the tickets out of order. If she is behind you, you must wait until she reaches the front to purchase her extra tickets. You may not purchase them with your tickets. You may purchase additional tickets beginning on May 12 th beyond your 9 ticket limit.
