An extra special shout out to all the Juniors and Sophomores who showed true school spirit and the definition of community by using their extra time to help the Freshman class complete their hallway. The 2015 Homecoming Dance is this Saturday, October 3 from 8pm-11pm in the Main Gym. Tickets will be sold in the mixing bowl during STEP through Friday October 2nd. The ticket price is $20. This includes entrance to the dance as well as a Chick-fil-a sandwich, dessert, and beverage.
Please Check your obligations! If you have an obligation, you will NOT be able to purchase a ticket. Guest forms are available in the main office for any student wishing to attend that does not attend Watkins Mill. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door. So, See Ms. Squier in B102 with any questions

Attention Students, All student drivers must purchase a parking permit and it must be visible in your car. All cars without a visible permit after October 5, 2015 will be ticketed. Parking permits can be purchased at the financial office. They cost $37.50 per semester or $75.00 per year. Don t be caught without a permit after October 5th.
The Freedom Movement is having a speaker come to the next meeting, this Thurs. 10/1. Det. John Witherspoon will be here during STEP to talk to students about what he does in his job as a detective in the Missing Children Unit for Montgomery County and how students can protect themselves from becoming human trafficking victims. Attention all staff, the debate team needs your help. We are looking for help with judging county debate tournaments. The debates are held once a month at Blair High School. Each school has to provide at least one judge for every six students that are debating for our school. Our first debate is being held on September 30 th at Blair. Judges should report at 3:30. Congratulations to the JV and Varsity Volleyball teams last night as the defeated Seneca Valley. The JV team won 2-0 through a total team effort. The varsity team won 3-1. Lauren Montgomery, Kristel Galvez, and Mary Moonjum led the team to their first victory with a variety of attacks from all over the court. Tiffany Haynes did a fantastic job setting up her teammates, while Kati Hurska and Delmi Dominguez did a great job digging and keeping balls in play!the girls will try to keep the momentum going next Tuesday when they travel to Blake High School
The Lady Wolverines won Friday s match against the Cavaliers taking 5 of the 7 points. We would like to give a Huge shot out to the singles matches Na-Ancy Gela, Jamila Banes, Jennifer Ha for winning both sets, and Bianca Johnson for winning the tie breaker the 3rd set to get the last win for the single matches which gave WMHS 4 points. Our double matches were well played with Rebeca Amaya and Jeanellie Ludena having a close match which went into a tie breaker, but they were not able to get the point. Our girls played Great. Go Lady Wolverines!
