Neutron Dance (Solo Dance) Dancing with the feet is one thing but dancing with the heart is another because it is all about QOOB KA CIYAARKA. Judging criteria Round 1: Choreography, expressions, creativity and overall impact. Round 2: Stage utilisation, song handling. Round 3: Theme, choreography, costumes and overall audience impact. Rules for Participants Dance style can vary from western hip-hop to typical free style Bollywood to folk. Round 1 1) The songs must be from Bollywood. 2) Any kind of fusion is strongly encouraged in neutron dance (but must be from Bollywood). 3) Time limit for round 1 is of 3 minutes. Round 2 A team of 2 will be clubbed of the shortlisted participants of round 1. They will have to faceoff on the song played on the spot. Round 3 1) Participant also have to prepare for their final round which is a theme based round. 2) In final theme based round, all dance form are allowed and all types of song is allowed. 3) Time limit for round 3 is 3 minutes. 4) Any kind of fluid or flame usage is not allowed on the stage. 5) Each team should bring two cd s for their final track in standard audio cd format and they should bring the song in flash drives also. 6) In case of any discrepancy the participant shall be disqualified.
2. Takes two to Tango (Duo Dance) To dance means to be new, to be fresh at every moment as though one had just issued from the hand of God. Judging Criteria Round 1: Choreography, expressions, costumes, coordination, creativity and overall impact. Round 2: Stage utilisation, song handling. Round 3: Choreography, expressions, costumes, coordination, creativity, stage utilisation and overall impact. Rules for Participants Round 1 1) Any kind of fusion is strongly encouraged in Takes two to Tango. 2) Time limit for round 2.5 minutes. Round 2 1) Shortlisted participants from round 1 will perform in round 2. 2) On the spot song will be given to the participants on lottery basis. 3) The participants will be given some time to prepare themselves Round 3 1) Final participants have to perform on the same song that they performed in round 1. 2) Any kind of fluid or flame usage is not allowed on the stage. 3) Each team should bring two cd s for their final track in standard audio cd format and they should bring the song in flash drives also. 4) In case of any discrepancy the team shall be disqualified. 3. Twirl your leg (Group Dance) An excellent mix of intensity, synchronization, talent and energy. TWIRL YOUR LEG is the platform if you want to share your passion for dance and madness. Get set go and redefine group dance in a way that no one has seen before. Every day brings a chance for you to draw in a breath, kick off your shoes, and dance. Let the energy and zeal of your performance reverberate through the floor. Conquer the dance floor to mesmerize the audience with sizzling moves this year at RESONANCE 2016. Judging criteria Choreography, costumes, expressions, coordination, stage utilisation, overall impact, creativity and audience support. Rules for Participant 1) Inter department teams formation are not allowed. 2) No. of members performing are 6-10(either boys or girls). 3) There must not be less than 3 participants on stage at any time of the performance. 4) Round-1 will be theme based choreographed round. 5) Round-2 will be static dance that will involve the movement of only the upper body. 6) Time limit for round 1 will be 3-4 minutes and for round 2 will be 2-3 minutes. The time limit should be strictly adhered to. Team shall be penalised by judges for not doing so. 7) Any kind of fluid or flame usage is not allowed on the stage.

Song (Staraoke) Following are the rules and regulations of the event Song Solo & Duet Rules for Prelims / Auditions: 1. Total entries will be judged separately (Solo & Duet) on the basis of their own prepared song. 2. Participants will sing the song prepared by themselves in front of the judges. On the basis of their voice, synchronization and rhythm judgment will be made. 3. Prelims (auditions) will be a music free round, participant(s) will perform without music and selectors (judges) have whole sole authority to stop participant in between his/ her performance and also can listen another song if they need. 4. On the basis of cut of margin decided by the judges, the participants will be selected for the final. Rules for Finale (1 ST ROUND) SOLO: First round will be a song prepared by the participant. Participant should bring their TRACK with them in mp3 FORMAT (CD only). One song in one CD (compact disc). Top 12 participants will be shortlisted for the last round. Time Limit: 3 minute DUET: For DUET there will be only one single round and that will be song prepared by the participants themselves and then they will be selected for the finale. Time Limit: 4 minute (2 nd ROUND) SOLO: Top 6 participants will be selected. All the participants have to sing the song of the judge s choice. DUET: Final round. Note: 1. The decision of the selectors (judges) will be final and accepted for all. 2. The maximum time limit for Solo/duet singing for Prelims (auditions) will be 2 min. 5. Mehndi 1. Participants should bring their own Mehndi cones. 2. No other accessories should be used. 3. Mehndi to be drawn below elbow (Half hand only). 4. Participants should not bring any images or pictures for help. 5. Only 1 round will be conducted from which winners would be selected. 6. Rangoli 1. The total duration for completing the Rangoli shall not exceed one hour and thirty minutes 2. A space measuring 3 feet by 3 feet will be provided to each group. 3. Rangoli should be done with Rangoli powder or flower only. 4. All other required material (ex. Chalk, scale, etc.) should be arranged by the participants themselves. However, use of any reference such as greetings or printed material/picture, in miniature form or otherwise should be avoided. 5. The competition is not theme based. 6. Maximum number of participants in a team is 2.
7. Only 1 round will be conducted from which winners would be selected. 7. Painting Face Painting: 1. No. of Members per Team: 2 2. Every team should carry its own colors and brushes. The colors should not be harmful to the face. 3. One of the team members will have to make an innovative design on the face of another team member. 4. Theme would be provided on the spot and accordingly the team has to design and paint the face. 5. Only 1 round will be conducted from which winners would be selected. 6. The decision of the Judges and the event coordinators will be final and binding on the participants. Tattoo making: 1. No. of Members per Team: 2 2. Every team should carry their pens, colours, sketch pens. Colours should not be harmful. 3. One of the team members will have to make an innovative design on the hand of another team member. 4. This is not a theme based competition. 5. Use of pointed instruments for tattoo making is not allowed. The tattoo has to be made using colours only. 6. The decision of the Judges and the event coordinators will be final and binding on the participants. Hand painting: 1. No of Members per Team is 2 2. Participant has to paint using only fingers/hand. No use of brushes or any other equipment is allowed. 3. Participant is free to paint according to his/her imagination. 4. Sheets will be provided at the college. 5. Every team should carry there oil colours, water colours. Colours should not be harmful. 6. The decision of the Judges and the event coordinators will be final and binding on the participants. 8. Antakshari Round I: Preliminary/Qualifying Round Bollywood Quiz test 1. Duration of quiz test will be 30 minutes. 2. 2 Participants will participate in the quiz from each team 3. No negative marking will be there. 4. Each correct Answer will add 1 mark to the team. 5. No Participants allowed after 8:45 AM. Round II: Word Round 1. 16 Teams will be selected from the preliminary qualifying round. 2. From 16 teams, 4 groups having 4 teams each will be made for second-round and from each group of 4 teams, 1 Team will be selected to play III round. 3. In this word round, a participant from each team have to pick a chit from a bowl on which a word will be written and each team have to sing maximum number of songs related to that word in 1 minute.
4. That word should either come in the MUKHDAA of the song or the song must be started from that word. 5. 10 marks will be awarded for each correct song. Round III: Chit Round 1. This round will be played with 4 teams. 2. Here the team has to pick a chit from the bowl in which a Bollywood situation would be given which is to be identified by the team in 30 Seconds time and sing complete MUKHDAA of that song related to that situation & accordingly as per the condition mentioned in the chit. 3. Chit bowl will be circulated 2 times to each team. 4. Total 10 marks for each correct song. 5. No negative marketing. 6. In case if a team fails to identify the situation & sing the song, then it may pass to audience subject to time limits. Round IV: Movie Clip Round 1. Duration: 1 minute per team. 2. Here teams will be shown clips from different movies. 3. Teams have to identify the movie name and sing any one song of that movie. 4. It will be a buzzer round. 5. Total 20 marks for each correct song & minus 10 for wrong answer. Round V: Dhun Round 1. A Musical tune will be played from Hindi Bollywood song. 2. It will be a buzzer round. 3. Teams have to identify that tune within 10 Seconds & sing that song related to that tune. 4. Total 5 tunes will be played. 5. Total 20 marks for each correct song & minus 10 for wrong answer. 9. Stardom The following competition would be an intra - college event which would decide MR. JIET and MS. JIET. This event would test the contestants on the basis of 5 qualities that we see in an ideal student and a good human being. The qualities being: Interactive skills / Presentation Skills Management skills Activeness Attitude Technical Capability The 5 qualities will be tested on the basis of 5 different tasks that the students will have to perform in different stages throughout entire RESONANCE. The students will be judged for each round and scored accordingly. The top 3 selected Girls and top 3 selected Boys will be facing the final questionnaire round in front of all the students and our respected JGI authorities. 10. Fireless Cooking 1. Strictly vegetarian preparation will be considered. (Egg will not be considered vegetarian). 2. The students will bring own material for cooking and preparation. Nothing will be provided by coordinators.
3. No baked items and pre-cooked items other than boiled vegetables would be allowed. 4. Readymade Bread and biscuit are allowed and nothing else. 5. Each team will prepare 2 dishes and weightage for both will be equal. 6. In case only one dish is prepared then the weightage will be half. 7. Preparations of dish will be done on the spot. If participant bring anything prepared from home, they will be disqualified immediately. 8. No participants are allowed to exceed the given time limit or else the team will be disqualified by the judges. Time Limit = 1 hour (2 dishes) 9. Healthy and hygienic preparation with the proper presentation of the dishes will be appreciated. 11. RJ-Hunt 1. This event is basically a workshop/internship opportunity. 2. It is a solo participation event. 3. It will be a two day event. 4. The first day will constitute a session by professional RJs and on second day an interview will be conducted by a renowned city radio brand. 5. It will be a true radio jockeying experience. 12. Nukkad Natak Description: Nukkad Natak is a form of theatrical performance and presentation in outdoor public spaces without a specific paying audience. These spaces can be anywhere, including shopping centres, car parks, recreational reserves and street corners. Rules: 1. The competitors are expected to be present in all the session. 2. The team should consist of minimum 4 members and maximum 8 members. 3. English & Hindi would be the two languages in which all the competition will be held. 4. Maximum time limit for the skit is 7 minutes. A warning signal will be given at the end of the 6th & 7th minute. 5. A final signal will be given at the end of the 7th minute. A penalty of (-2) points would be imposed for every exceeding 30 seconds. 6. Clarity of dialogues and quick change of scenes will carry additional weightage. 7. No attacking on Pastoral work, any committee or any individual s life. 8. Teams found practicing during event time apart from rest periods (like tea interval, lunch time and free time) will be penalized / disqualified from the competition. 9. During the competition the congregation should maintain silence. Any attempts to help the Participants through signs or any other means will invite a penalty of 10 points to the team to which the person belongs. 10. The skit should be based on social awareness theme / entertainment. 11. The participants should bring their own safe props (No material would be provided by the college). 12. The script of the play will be approved by the event coordinators in the prelims round. 13. Any team using slang during the skit will be immediately disqualified. 14. Use of pre-recorded sounds and music system is allowed. (e.g. Mobile ring tones, electric Guitars, keyboard etc.) 15. The decision of the judges will be final and binding under all circumstances.
Execution Plan: 1. Registered teams are supposed to present their act in form of Nukkad-Natak in the prelims round. 2. Five teams will be short listed for the final round. 13. JIET Got Talent Round 1: 1. No. of teams to participate FLEXIBLE. 2. Max. no. of members per team 10. 3. Every participant to be held responsibility for his/her actions. 4. Accidents while displaying talents will not be regarded as college s fault. 5. All the material needed to show the talent to be brought by the participants. 6. The responsibility of the props/ material will be individuals. 7. Time limit 3 mins max. 8. Dancing, Painting, singing (Except Rap) or any kind of skit are not allowed. Round 2: Final Round 1. Time limit will be of 5 mins. 2. There should not be use of props/material which causes damage to JCC stage. 3. Top 3 winners will be decided at the end of Event. 4. Certificate will be awarded to one who will clear round 1 and Top 3 will be awarded with Trophies. 14. Calligraphy 1. Solo Participation event. 2. Use of any unfair means, including electronic gadgets will lead to immediate disqualification. 3. The decision of the Judges and the event coordinators will be final and binding on the participants. 4. Use of pen, dip pen, brushes or other writing instruments is allowed. 5. The college will provide the answer books for the competition but the participant has to bring their own pen, pencil etc. 6. Writing sample will be provided on the spot. 7.
