Florida Panthers: Head Coach and Player Bios Head Coach: Peter DeBoer Peter DeBoer was named the 10th head coach of the Florida Panthers on June 13, 2008. During his first year behind the bench he guided Florida to a 41-30-11 mark, their second best record in the team s 15-year playing history. He kept the Panthers in playoff contention until the 81st game of the season, a stretch that saw the club sit as low as 30th overall in the league towards the end of November and as high as fifth in the Eastern Conference at the beginning of March. DeBoer coached his first NHL game Oct. 10 at Carolina and earned his first NHL win Oct. 11 in a 3-2 victory over Atlanta at the BankAtlantic Center Prior to joining the Panthers, DeBoer, 40, guided the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) to a 53-11-0-4 mark during the 2007-08 season, claiming the OHL Championship. During his seven year tenure with Kitchener, DeBoer earned 297 wins with a.676 winning percentage, while guiding his club to the 2003 Memorial Cup title. #29: Tomas Vokoun (G) 6' 0", 195 lbs. / Jul 2, 1976 (33 years and 4 months) TAH muhz voh KOON 11th NHL / 3rd FLA Season Last Win: NOV 21, 2009 @ NY RANGERS Last SO: NOV 12, 2009 @ BOSTON (4) GP W-L-OT SO GAA SV% Season 17 7-8-2 3 2.71.923 Career 529 224-219-62 34 2.56.915 Career vs. Opp 17 6-7-4 2 2.60.922 Ranks tied for first in the NHL with three shutouts...ranks 7th in the NHL with a.923 save percentage...recorded his 34th career shutout, stopping 40 shots Nov. 12 at Boston...Recorded his 33rd career shutout Nov. 4 vs. CAR, stopping 32 shots...recorded his 32nd career shutout Oct. 31 at STL, turning away all 34 shots...recorded an assist Oct.10 vs. NJ...Stopped 52 of 55 shots for the win Oct. 2 at CHI. #30: Scott Clemmensen (G) 6' 3", 205 lbs. / Jul 23, 1977 (32 years and 4 months) SKAWT KLEH-mehn-sehn 6th NHL / 1st FLA Season Last Win: NOV 20, 2009 @ DETROIT Last SO: FEB 13, 2009 vs BOSTON (8) GP W-L-OT SO GAA SV% Season 5 3-1-0 0 4.12.878 Career 73 36-21-5 4 2.69.905 Career vs. Opp 10 4-4-1 1 2.59.892 3-1-0 as a starter...turned away 39 of 40 shots Nov. 20 at DET...Stopped 32 of 37 shots Oct. 30 at DAL for second victory...recorded his first win as a Panther in first game Oct. 16 vs. PHI, stopping 25 of 27 shots. #2: Keith Ballard (D) 5' 11", 208 lbs. / Nov 26, 1982 (26 years and 11 months) KEETH BAL-uhrd 5th NHL / 2nd FLA Season Last Goal: MAR 10, 2009 @ PITTSBURGH (36) Last Assist: NOV 18, 2009 @ BUFFALO (2) Season 21 0-7-7 1 27 Career 336 25-103-128 342 Career vs. Opp 7 1-3-4 19 Second on the team in blocked shots (33)...Second on the team in hits (48)...First in penalty minutes (27)...Recorded three assists Nov. 18 at BUF...Picked up first point (assist) Oct. 2 at CHI. #4: Dennis Seidenberg (D) 6' 1", 210 lbs. / Jul 18, 1981 (28 years and 4 months) DEH-nihs SIGH-dehn-buhrg 7th NHL / 1st FLA Season Last Goal: OCT 31, 2009 @ ST.
