Hi everyone, How quickly May is flying by! Many of you have secured summer employment to your relief and some of you onto careers in the field. Be sure to check out #RTVSuccessStory to see who is doing what! If you have good news to share, be sure to inform me of your twitter handle and I would be thrilled to brag for you. If you have been accepted to College or University in the fall, do tell! Welcome to our new volunteers, many of whom are now joining us on mobile crews and in the studio. We are happy to have you as part of our Rogers family in Woodstock and in London. Just a reminder that the dress code for the studio and mobiles prohibits any track outfits, yoga pants or workout gear. We want you to be comfortable, but ask that you wear casual pants or about knee length shorts or skirts. Mobiles will require that you wear sunscreen in the heat and layer if expecting rain. While hats are acceptable on mobiles, they are not in the studio. London volunteers be sure to sign up for June mobiles by Monday, June 1 st and participate in our special training programs this summer. This is a great opportunity to gain more skills and get to know the Producers. Rogers TV Woodstock will be holding auditions for Show Hosts and Reporters. Looking for experience or are you just a ham and want your own TV show? CONGRATULATIONS Carolyn Irwin So, once Carolyn returns from Dubai, where she is visiting her parents, she will be starting a new job in Vancouver, B.C. A native of Calgary, she will be moving a little further west to try her hand at Administrative Production Assistant. The good ones sure do get snapped up quickly! GENTLE REMINDERS 1. Arriving on time means 5 minutes early. 2. Communicate 2 weekdays in advance if you do not understand where to go for a mobile. 3. Dress appropriately for working in an office environment. 4. Manage your priorities so you do not have to cancel attending your production. 5. Remember, if you do not show, we still have to fill your spot. 6. Treat your team with respect and dignity. 7. Remember, all of us are learning, so be patient. 8. Communicate when you notice someone doing something well. 9. Thank others when they help you. Thank you for adhering to our policies.
