RUSTINGTON JUNIOR GOLF NEWSLETTER - MARCH 2015 RGC FAMILY SKILLS CHALLENGE The Junior Section will be organising a 'Skills Challenge' for Junior & Adult golfers, consisting of challe in putting, chipping, pitching, bunkers and full swing. This event replaces the National Skills Challenge and is open to ALL golfers, members and non-mem with or without a handicap, individually, or as a family. Family members will play together and prizes w awarded based on age and ability for those with a handicap and for those without and non-handicap. NEW - PAR 3 LEAGUE COMPETITION This fun competition and is OPEN TO ALL JUNIORS, with or without a handicap, members and non-member, boys and girls. Consisting of 3 competitive rounds, there will be prizes for the winners of four categories of each competition, and a prize for the overall league winner. Players will be categorised by ability (handicap). Any golfer who does not currently hold a handicap must submit THREE par 3 score cards to Kat (dated and signed by a parent) AT LEAST 2 WEEKS before the first event in order to participate. Keep your movements to a minimum when players are about to hit. Wait for all players to putt out before leaving the green area for the next tee. Follow the etiquette guidelines set down by the club and association hosting the event. Wear trainers or golf shoes on the course, to help with wear and tear. Don't: Run around a golf course while a tournament is being played. Talk on a mobile phone. Take pictures during competition rounds. Always check with tournament organizers to see what the rules are.
