8 COMPETITIONS SATURDAY COMPETITIONS Cost $5.00 to enter. Please pay at Bar to Bar Manager. CLUB TROPHY Most points awarded in Saturday competitions up to & including 12 th September, but excluding 9 th May, 6 th June, 25 th July. Points awarded for each Grade for 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd (3,2,1) and an additional point awarded for all players for attendance each week. MONTHLY MEDAL Best net score (Maximum handicap = 27) on the following dates: 18 th April, 16 th May, 20 th June, 11 th July, 15 th August, and Medal of Medals on 12 th September. APPLEBEE/BELCHER TROPHY One round of foursome Pinehurst competition. Best net team score on 6 th June. BOB OXLADE MEMORIAL TROPHY Donated by the Club for the best net score in Stroke round on 16 th May. HAMLEY BRIDGE CHALLENGE Inter-Club Stableford Challenge where best average Stableford score wins. 23 rd May at Hamley Bridge, 8 th August at Two Wells. TOMMY TURNER S BURGLARS POT Awarded to the player with the best net (Stroke only) score of the season. PISS POT S CUP (WEDNESDAY COMPETITION) Awarded to the best player throughout the season as determined by the highest aggregate points. NIGHT GOLF Will be programmed as deemed appropriate according to conditions during the season. One set for Friday 29 th May. The TWGC supplies the balls and light sticks with players paying a deposit for the supply of glow golf balls.

9 COMPETITIONS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS Four separate rounds of 18 hole stroke play for each grade (72 holes). Round 1 played on 20 th June, Round 2 on 27 th June, Round 3 on 11 th July and Round 4 on 18 th July. The Club Champion will be the lowest aggregate score of all players. The two best aggregate scores for each of grade A and B determines the grade champion and runner-up. HANDICAP MATCHPLAY Played concurrently with scheduled competition and entries close on 18 th April. 1 st round matches to be completed on or before 16 th May 2 nd round matches to be completed on or before 13 th June 3 rd round matches to be completed on or before 1 st August Semi-finals matches to be played on 22 nd August Final to be played on 5 th September Note: Where the scheduled competition & matchplay rules are found to conflict - refer each case to the match committee. Matches may be played away from Saturday competitions providing an agreed date and time between players and match committee is reached and matches are completed before the dates above. PRESIDENTS TROPHY Highest aggregate of points for three out of the four rounds of Stableford competition. Rounds are on 9 th May, 13 th Jun, 4 th July and 22 nd August. CAPTAINS TROPHY Best aggregate of three out of four Par rounds. Rounds are on 25 th April, 30 th May, 1 st August and 29 th August. VETERANS TROPHY Open to all players over 55 years of age. Lowest aggregate of the best three out of four net scores in Stroke competition played over the Club Championship Rounds. Rounds are on 20 th June, 27 th June, 11 th July and 18 th July. DENNIS SHIELDS MEMORIAL TROPHY - (STROKE ECLECTIC) Aggregate of best stroke scores for each hole, less one third of handicap - ending on 15 th August. Rounds counting for this aggregate are all stroke rounds throughout the season.

10 SCORING PLAYER S HANDICAP ALLOWANCE For handicaps up to and including 18, a stroke is allowed on all holes with a card index value up to and including the player s handicap value. For handicaps in excess of 18 a stroke is allowed on all holes and an additional stroke on all holes where the card index value is equal to or less than the value by which the player s handicap exceeds 18. PAR The fixed score is determined by adding the players handicap allowance for the hole to the hole par value. The marker is required to make entries in the player and marker centre columns for each hole, showing losses, halves or wins, based on whether the players gross number of strokes for the hole has respectively exceeded, equalled or is under the hole's fixed score. The aggregates for losses and wins are recorded for each 9 and 18 holes and shown at the top right of the card. STABLEFORD As for stroke except that the marker shall be responsible for marking only the gross number of strokes where the player's net score earns one or more points. In addition, the reckoning of Stableford points awarded in relation to the player's fixed score at each hole shall be recorded in the third column for each hole as follows: ONE over fixed score 1 Fixed Score 2 ONE under fixed score 3 TWO under fixed score 4 THREE under fixed score 5 The aggregates for Stableford points are recorded for each 9 and 18 holes and are shown on the right side of the card. STROKE The marker shall record the gross score for each hole in the "player" column, as well as the stableford score. Stroke score (gross/nett) is used for competition places, stableford score is required for Golflink recording purposes. The aggregate for each nine holes shall be recorded in the "in" and "out" places, and added to obtain an 18 hole total. The player's handicap is deducted and recorded as the net score. The results are marked at the top right of the card by the marker who the signs and dates the card. The card is then checked and signed by the player. 11 RULES OF CONDUCT TO NEVER ACT IN ANY WAY WHICH WILL BRING THE NAME OF GOLF OR THE TWO WELLS GOLF CLUB INTO DISREPUTE 1. NO offensive language or behaviour 2. NO physical conflicts 3. NO argumentative behaviour 4. NO excessive alcohol 5. Leave the Club premises (including the course) when asked by the Bar Manager or Committee Member 6. Address questions to the appropriate person, such as President, Match Committee or Course Manager. If you are unhappy with the response given, submit a written question to the Committee and their response will apply. 7. Submit ALL complaints in writing to the committee 8. NO inappropriate use of equipment 9. NO hats or sprigs to be worn inside Clubrooms. 10. Appropriate shirts/tops and shorts/trousers to be worn at all times 11. ALL personal disputes to be dealt with outside of the Club grounds, and in an appropriate manner so as not to bring the Club into disrepute.

12 GENERAL INFORMATION (Explaining Competitions and eligibility to play in Honour Board events held at the Two Wells Golf Club Inc.) Handicaps Unless transferring a handicap from another Club, new male members must submit three (3) cards of 18 hole stroke play to obtain a full handicap: new female members must submit three (3) cards of 18 hole stroke play. On submitting the maximum number of cards the member s details and full Australian handicap will be entered on Golflink. The maximum handicap for all competitions is 36.4 for males and 45.4 for females. Unless otherwise approved by the Match Committee, competitions will be graded as follows: Championship, Monthly Medal and Honour Board Events: (1) A Grade: 0 18 (2) B Grade: 19 36 The Match Committee has the discretion to vary the Grades at the commencement of each season when determining the number of financial members to ensure all Grades are competitive and may reduce the Grades based on competition field size should there be less than five (5) members in any of the grades. Saturday Competitions The Match Committee will ensure that the Club Competition Board is displayed for all members to view the following details are available: (a) Date of Competition (b) Type of Competition (c) Sponsor for the day (d) Birdie Holes (up to 2 on each nine holes) (e) Long Drive hole (or holes) (f) Next weeks competition (g) Special announcements/other notices/open Days

13 Junior Playing Rights Junior members holding official Australian Handicaps may compete in all competitions, including championship and honour board events as organised by the Match Committee. Visitors Visitors who have either current AGU or ALGU handicaps are eligible to play in Club Competitions on an equal basis to club members, except for Club Championships, Monthly Medals, Honour Board events. The weekly novelty prizes such as Nearest the Pin (NTP), Pro s Approach, Birdie Holes, Eagles Nest and Long Drives are eligible for visitors. Visitors shall pay normal Green Fees and Competition Fees. In the event of a visitor winning a Grade they will be eligible for the same trophy as members (TWGC glass or golf balls). The Club Trophy points will be awarded to the next TWGC member in the run down. Competition Rules All competitions are to be run in accordance with Royal and Ancient Rules, SAGA Rules and any rules applied by the Match Committee. Non-financial members are not eligible to win any competition held at the Two Wells Golf Club. Members issued provisional handicaps after three (3) cards are eligible to play in all Club Competitions. To be eligible for Club Champion, Female Champion and/or Grade Champion, full handicap players must have submitted five (5) single event Saturday competition cards played at Two Wells Golf Club in the twelve (12) months preceding the commencement of the first championship round. This is over and above cards submitted to obtain a full handicap.

14 Club Champion The Club Champion will be the member who returns the lowest gross score after four (4) stroke rounds of the Club Championship event. Females are eligible to be Club Champion, providing they play the same course set up as the men s field. All Financial Members shall be eligible to be Club Champion regardless of handicap or grade. The Club Champion Trophy is a TWGC Honour Board Event. Grade Champions The Grade Champions will be members who return the lowest gross score after four (4) stroke rounds of the Club Championship event. Each Grade must have a minimum of five (5) starters for the Grade Championship to be awarded. Grade Championship Trophies are a TWGC Honour Board Event. Grade Nett Champions The Grade Nett Champions will be members who return the lowest nett score after four (4) stroke rounds of the Club Championship event. Each Grade must have a minimum of five (5) starters for the Grade Nett Championship to be awarded. Grade Nett Championship Trophies are a TWGC Honour Board Event. Handicap Matchplay Champion The Handicap Matchplay Champion will be the winner of a knockout handicap matchplay stroke competition of 32 players. The number is reduced to 31 if the current champion elects to defend the title. The Handicap Matchplay Trophy is a TWGC Honour Board Event.

15 Monthly Medal Once per month in association with a stroke competition, the Club will hold a Monthly Medal competition. The Medal is to be awarded to the member with the best nett score of the competition, regardless of grade played. Maximum Handicap for Monthly Medals is 27. Medal of Medals Competition The Medal of Medals competition will be held annually in September. Only the Monthly Medal winners for each month will be eligible starters for this competition. Presented on the Presentation Night with all seasons trophy winners. Club Trophy The Club Trophy is awarded to the member who has accumulated the most number of points each week in grade for 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd in each grade. Additionally one (1) point is given to all members who play each Saturday in the nominated competitions up to Sept 12 th. The Club Trophy does not include the Applebee/Belcher Trophy, 4BBB events and Ambrose Events. The Club Trophy is a TWGC Honour Board Event. Presidents Trophy The Presidents Trophy is awarded to the highest aggregate of Stableford Points for three (3) out of four (4) nominated Stableford Rounds identified in the TWGC Program. The Presidents Trophy is a TWGC Honour Board Event. Captains Trophy The Captains Trophy is awarded to the best aggregate of three (3) out of four (4) nominated Par Rounds identified in the TWGC Program. The Captains Trophy is a TWGC Honour Board Event. Eclectic Trophy The Eclectic Trophy is awarded to the best aggregate of stroke scores, less 1/3 rd of a player s handicap, over nominated rounds identified in the TWGC Program. The Eclectic Trophy is a TWGC Honour Board Event.

16 Veterans Trophy Open to all players over 55 years of age. Lowest aggregate of best three out of four nett scores in stroke competition as identified in the TWGC Program. The Veterans Trophy is a TWGC Honour Board Event. Bob Oxlade Memorial Trophy Donated by the Club for the best nett score in a Stroke Competition as identified in the TWGC Program. In Memory of Bob Oxlade, a past Captain of the TWGC. The Bob Oxlade Trophy is a TWGC Honour Board Event. Applebee/Belcher Trophy The Applebee/Belcher Trophy is awarded to the best nett team score in a foursome Pinehurst Competition as identified in the TWGC Program. The Applebee/Belcher Trophy is a TWGC Honour Board Event. Handicap Matchplay The Annual Handicap Matchplay competition consists of 32 positions which may be reduced to 31 should the Current Champion elect to defend his/her title. The rounds may be played at any time including Saturdays (due to the reduced season) and included Ladies. All participants are required to check their individual Golflink Handicaps prior to the commencement of the match. The Handicap Matchplay Trophy is a TWGC Honour Board Event. Hamley Challenge The Annual Hamley Challenge is played between Two Wells and Hamley Bridge with one (1) match at each Club over the year. The competition is Stableford with the best average Stableford score winning the trophy. TOMMY TURNER S BURGLARS POT Awarded to the player with the best net (Stroke only) score of the season.

17 HOLE IN ONE Any member of TWGC (or visitor) who scores a hole in one whilst competing in an event organised by the Match Committee will be presented with twelve (12) golf balls. The persons name will be added to the Hole in One Honour Board. A hole in one does not qualify a member to win the eagles nest. The Match Committee will pass on the relevant details to the TWGC Secretary who will notify the National Hole-in-One Data Base and SAGA for the member to receive the reward eligible at that time by the State Sponsor. Eagles Nest (2nd Hole) The Eagles Nest is increased each week by one (1) golf ball each competition week until won and is ONLY awarded for birdies scored on the 2 nd hole at TWGC. This does not apply to any other hole on the TWGC. In the case of multiple (birdies) being scored on the same day, the eagles nest will be divided equally amongst the players who have scored the birdies. Birdie Holes Players can win a golf ball for getting a birdie on up to two (2) holes on each nine, as nominated by the Match Committee, during Saturday competition. The birdie holes are not included in Pinehurst, Ambrose or Open Days. Eagles Members who score eagles on the TWGC shall be presented with either a TWGC glass or two (2) balls and shall apply to multiple eagles scored in any one competition.

18 Competition Fees The Competition Fees for the normal Club events are to be determined by the Match Committee in conjunction with the Executive Committee. All members involved in organised competition days must pay competition fees prior to commencing play. Fees are paid over the bar to the Bar Manager. Green Fees The Green Fees for playing on TWGC are determined by the Match Committee in conjunction with the Executive Committee. All visitors are to complete the Green Fee book with the following details: a. Date b. Full Name c. Amount ($5) The Green Fee book has three portions, one which remains in the book, one is placed inside an envelope with the Green Fee and deposited in the slot provided, and the visitor carries one as proof of payment. Golf Course Closed The Golf Course is closed: a. For competition play on Saturday until the last competitor is through the 10 th scrape. b. For official competitions such as Lower North Group Open, Two Wells Open, Group Veterans events and nominated Ladies events. c. During Working Bees d. At other times specified by The Match Committee and Executive Committee as displayed on the Club Notice Board. Right of Way Competition Players have right of way at all times, including members competing in Club matchplay events outside of normal competition times. Members are asked to give way to all matchplay competitors.

19 Course Record The Course Record shall be the lowest gross stroke score recorded during single play. There shall be a separate course record for male and female players. The course record may be claimed in any competition organised by the Match Committee where the course set up is equivalent to a championship event. The Match Committee shall adjudicate over such an award of a course record, after considering whether the event was held under conditions equivalent to championship play. A new course record shall be awarded after a change to the Australia Course Rating (ACR) or where the ACR is unchanged but there is a significant change to the course layout. Other Competitions The Match Committee may disband any informal competitions that are not in the best interest of the TWGC. Practice on the Course To preserve the quality of the limited grass on the golf course, players may play up to a maximum of 3 practice balls during casual, practice or noncompetition rounds. Golf Etiquette must be adhered to at all times with regard to filling divots and slow play. The eighteenth (18 th ) is recognised as a practice fairway for members to warm up on. No other holes at the TWGC may be used to warm up on the day of competition. Scrape Maintenance To preserve the scrapes and assist the Course Manager and volunteers, members are asked when they have completed their putting they rake twice around the hole leaving a smooth by the hole the width of the rake, as well as making sure the cup is emptied. Other directions may be requested by the Match Committee during the season with regard to the on-going scrape maintenance.
