BIG SKY FMCA Covering the State of Montana August 2016 Presidents Message... We plan to be at the rally in Joliet this month on August 11th. Hope to see you there. Once again the September rally in Libby is very important as we conduct our annual business meeting and elect new officers for our Big Sky chapter. Hope to see you soon. Safe Travels. Mike Teague 2017 Dues are due in September!! August 2016 Hello Again Big Sky Folks; With summer in full swing, I hope everyone is having a good time and enjoying the warm weather with family and friends. We certainly are. I have heard nothing but good things regarding the recent rally in Ronan. It sounds like we missed a good one, especially the biscuits and sausage gravy. Thank you Mike and Dori and Dave and Sharon. We were in Fort Polk Louisiana that weekend visiting our Army son who is currently stationed there. He and his men had just returned from nine months in Afghanistan and he was turning over his command to another officer. We were not quite conditioned for the 95 degree heat and high humidity but we had a great time visiting with them anyway. If you are ever in the great little town of Natchitoches in central Louisiana, I recommend the Merci Beaucoup restaurant. The gumbo and crawfish etouffee are excellent. On August 1st Dixie and I will be flying to West Springfield, Massachusetts for three days of national business meetings at FMCA s 94th Family Reunion. I will represent our chapter while Dixie is the temporary delegate for the Arctic Travellers, a chapter in Palmer, Alaska. We will provide you with a report during the September business meeting. -1- Look in the roster, the date that appears above your name is the date you are paid through. If 2016 appears your dues of $15 are now due for 2017. Please make checks payable to Big Sky FMCA and mail to Susie Farr, 935 Isy Loop, Helena, MT 59602. Big Sky Chapter Officers... Wagon Master Message If you missed the Polson rally, you missed an outstanding rally. Diamond S RV was very hospitable and met our every need. There was a boat trip on the Flathead where we had great tasting Indian Tacos and two hours of just relaxing in great weather. We were greeted with a wonderful breakfast on Friday morning of fruit, donuts, rolls, yogurt and the best biscuits & sausage gravy ever! We were met every morning with a Continental Breakfast before starting our day of sightseeing and relaxing. There were 15 coaches in attendance and a good time was had by all. This will also be a good time to advise me of changes you may have in your e-mail or phone number. We had such a good time in Polson. It really was a great rally. There was something for everyone to do, day and night. There was a huge fire ring and Mike stoked up a big fire every night. We had an ice cream cake, and some merchants donated items for a gift basket won by Bob & Becky. Our hosts Mike & Dori won the $100 attendance award. I can t say this enough, it was a great rally. Hope to see you in Joliet or Libby.
