Adopted 4-H Livestock Club The Wilkinson County 4-H Livestock Club has adopted a 4-H Livestock Club in East Baton Rouge Parish that suffered complete losses of their equipment, supplies, feed and some animals during the flooding in August. The youth (6 to 10 families) had swine, poultry, rabbits and beef cattle. On September 24, Wilkinson County Livestock Club conducted a fundraiser and raised several hundred dollars that are being used to order supplies and equipment to help these 4-H ers get back on their feet. If you would like to contribute new or gently used equipment (water buckets, feeders, feed buckets, brushes, show sticks, etc.) or make a monetary donation for the East Baton Rouge Livestock Club through Wilkinson County 4-H Club, items and money can be brought to the State Fair October 9-10 and given to Adriene Ashley (Ashley Farms) in the swine barn or locate Wilkinson County Ag Agent Lionel Brown on Monday, October 10.
