Coach Brittney Ezell s team returns a trio of talented guards, including all-freshman selection Tianna Tarter (11.8 PPG) and last season s leading scorer, Shamauri Bridges (12.8 PPG). The Bucs will look to replicate their offensive success from the previous year (68.1 PPG, second in the SoCon). Head Coach... Susie Gardner 2014-15 Record... 20-15 (9-5 SoCon) Regular Season Finish... 3rd Starters Returning/Lost... 1/4 will look to build on a 2014-15 campaign that saw it compile a record of 20-15 (9-5 SoCon), but the Bears will be dealing with massive roster turnover. Susie Gardner s team will return 2014-15 freshman of the year Kahlia Lawrence (13.4 PPG, 5.5 RPG). The Bears, however, lost four starters from the 2014-15 squad, including SoCon Player of the Year Precious Bridges. An influx of eight newcomers (seven freshmen) will be tasked with picking up the slack. Head Coach... Mike Morris 2014-15 Record... 15-15 (8-6 SoCon) Regular Season Finish... 4th Starters Returning/Lost... 5/0 The Bulldogs will return all five starters from a team that finished fourth in the SoCon last season with a record of 15-15 (8-6 conference). featured a balanced scoring attack in 2014-15, led by Hannah Nichols (14.1 PPG), Taylor Reece (10.6 PPG), Destiney Elliot (9.0 PPG) and Krista Stricklin (7.7 PPG), all of whom will be back. The Bulldogs, who shot 36.8 percent from three-point land last season, should do a lot of damage from beyond on the arc. Western Carolina Head Coach... Stephanie McCormick 2014-15 Record... 11-19 (3-11 SoCon) Regular Season Finish... T-6th Western Carolina will look to improve on its 11-19 (3-11 SoCon) mark from last season under the direction of first-year coach Stephanie McCormick. The Catamounts will try to fill the void left behind by Justin Taylor, the league s second-leading scorer last season (16.2 PPG). Sophomore guard Ace Easter (9.9 PPG) should see an uptick in production as she enters her second year. TEAM BREAKDOWNS Team Notes Head Coach...Jackie Carson 2014-15 Record... 19-14 (7-7 SoCon) Regular Season Finish... 5th Starters Returning/Lost... 2/3 enters the 2015-16 campaign coming off its winningest season in more than a decade, which saw them go 19-14 (7-7 SoCon) under the direction of coach Jackie Carson. The Paldins will return All-SoCon performer Whitney Bunn (14.5 PPG, 6.8 APG) but will have to cope with the loss of All-SoCon forward Brittany Hodges (13.2 PPG, 8.7 RPG). Senior Holli Wilkins (12.6 PPG) should provide a steady veteran presence for a team that led the SoCon in scoring last season (68.2 PPG). Head Coach... Wendy Palmer 2014-15 Record... 6-24 (1-13 SoCon) Regular Season Finish... 8th The Spartans will once again be led by preseason all-conference selection Lucy Mason. The senior guard averaged 15.3 PPG and was second in the conference in minutes per game (37.0) last season. Coach Wendy Palmer prioritized size in the 2015 recruiting class. The program added 6 0 Arielle Harvey, 6 2 Ashley Bearden and 6 2 Gena Penick. The three will compete for minutes down low behind India Timpton and Mariah Wilson. Head Coach...Jim Foster 2014-15 Record... 29-4 (14-0 SoCon) Regular Season Finish... 1st Starters Returning/Lost... 4/1 is coming off back-to-back league titles and an NCAA tournament appearance. Coach Jim Foster s team will return four starters and a total of nine players from their 29-win team, including preseason player of the year Jasmine Joyner (12.0 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 4.0 BPG) and So- Con Defensive Player of the Year Alicia Payne. Mocs led the SoCon in scoring defense last season (50.5 PPG). Wofford Head Coach... Edgar Farmer, Jr. 2014-15 Record... 8-22 (3-11 SoCon) Regular Season Finish...
