MACCPF Centre 24/7 Site WELCOME! It is hard to believe that fall is here already. Please make sure to dress your child in warm clothing including hats and mittens. All outdoor clothes must be labeled with your child s name. Please make sure your child has a change of clothes at the Centre at all times.

We will be having a costume party for the children the morning of October 31 st. They are welcome to come in costumes for the party. (Note: weapons and masks will not be permitted. Superheroes are ok). The children will enjoy lots of fun activities and songs as well as a Pizza Lunch. Thank you to all parents for helping us with the hand washing routine as the children arrives at the Centre. We appreciate your help. Ms. Arlyn Wyatt Nikosi Ms. Saba Aaron Charlee Keira Maddex Wassil INFANT NEWS The summer season is over but we had such great fun doing all kinds of indoor and outdoor activities. We really enjoyed our field trips to Sobeys, the visit from the Pet Store and our water day every Friday. This fall we welcomed our friends Seth, Jasmine, Isaac, Natali, Anita and

Christian into our group, and we sent our friends Charlee, Aaron and Wyatt to the Dolphin Room. Please bring in pictures of family, friends, animals and a little write up about your son/daughter s likes, dislikes and current interests. We are looking forward to the fall weather, playing in the leaves, leaf rubbing and many other fall and thanksgiving activities. Please see our Teddy Bears wall to find out what we are up to daily. We will also be sending home a book every TEDDY BEARS We are really glad to welcome our new friends and congratulate our friends who have moved to Dolphin room. We hope they will have a smooth transition. three months with special events and crafts that we have done. DOLPHIN NEWS We had fun in the summer season and enjoyed the beautiful warm weather This month we will be exploring and emerging on our individual interests, seasons, holidays and families. We are excited for our adventure in learning. outside. We visited the Children s museum and celebrated the Carnival. Gardening is one of our summer programs. We planted carrots, tomato, beans etc. and did arts and crafts,

painting, bugs hunting, games and more activities. Play Parks, not forgetting our in centre visits by the Police Officers and the Animal Hospital are just a few. Our Dolphin group welcomed new friends Aaron, Adam, Pearle, Arielle and Ms. Harpreet. We also said farewell to Keira, Nikosi, Doaa, Wassil, Ms. Sheila and Ms. Noelle. Special thank you to Mr. Ray. He organized the gardening and made our work easier. We had lots of fun with him in the garden. We said goodbye to Anrui, Aryan, Jeremy, Daniella, Francesca and Oluwaseyi. We would like to welcome Doaa, Kiera, Nikosi, Wassil, Ciara and Saffina to Starfish Room. They are excited to be in their new room and are excited that they are the older ones at the centre. They often say to us I m a STARFISH NEWS Summer has gone by quickly. Everyone enjoyed the extra outside time, but the cooler days are upon us. Halloween is right around the corner. Our children had a fun summer with several fun filled indoor and outdoor activities as well as field trips. Our visits to the Farm, Children s Museum, Neighborhood big kid now, I am in Starfish Room. Fall is finally here, the weather has cooled down so please dress your children appropriately each day especially for outdoor play. For the month of October the children will be busy with activities involving fall leaves

and apples as well as activities for thanksgiving and Halloween. RECIPE OF THE MONTH Halloween Bread Ingredients 1 slice of bread per child Food Coloring Milk or soy Butter Clean paint brushes Directions Mix food coloring and add ½ cup of milk. Have the children paint Halloween pictures on the bread. Spread with butter and enjoy this spooky snack!
