Fun and Fanfair Brought to you by Welcome to a summer of Fun and Fanfair at Prairie Life Fitness. Our camps are designed with your kids in mind, taking full advantage of what s hot and what s not. Over the years we have developed some favorites and we continually add to our box of FUN! In appreciation for choosing Prairie Life as your summer destination, a $10 discount will be given on each additional camp or sibling registration at time of payment. Join us this summer for full or 1/2 day camps for 6-13 year olds, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Swimming is included (with towels) twice daily. Full day, Member Pricing: $160, Parent Member: $180, Non-member: $200 (extended hours available upon request) Half day 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. OR 12:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. is available for 1/2 the price! Lunch is an additional $5. Team and individual challenges await you during Survivor: Prairie Life. From swimming, diving and sliding to eating, building and creating, we ll be sure to challenge your mind, body and spirit. Prizes will be earned by winning, succeeding or trying stunts...teamwork always wins out. Join us for a fun and exciting first week of camp and see if you can call yourself a Prairie Life Survivor! X treme Sports June 8-12 If your child loves sports and loves to stay active, this is a camp designed specifically for them. From playing old favorites like Dodgeball, Capture the Flag and Obstacle Course Action to Triathlon training, Mountain Climbing and Slip & Sledding - come experience a week full of new adventures, sports and risk taking fun!! Kids need to bring a sense of adventure, a daring spirit and the desire to try new things. We look forward to testing adventurous attitudes and seeing which kids can handle the fun!
Outdoor Adventure June 15-19 It s BAAACCKK! The camp you ve all been waiting for, Outdoor Adventure. This has been one of our most popular camps filled with fun and exciting adventures OUTDOORS! Whether you just love nature or being outside, we combine them both and add a whole lot of fun. Blindfolded hikes, scavenger hunts, and games abound in this action packed week of contests and adventures. You need to be prepared with clothes that can get grimy and shoes that can get muddy...and of course an attitude ready for anything. This camp drops off at 9:00 am and picks up at 4:00 pm at Heritage Park on 158th and Black Bob. Fear Factor June 22-26 A Prairie Life favorite is back for another summer! Prairie Life kids have shown they have what it takes to look fear in the eye and face it head on. From physical stunts to eating challenges and team work to dog eat dog, kids have a chance to try new things, new foods, and new sports. If your kids want to find out if they have what it takes, get registered now for Fear Factor and earn the right to say, Fear is not a factor for me! Wow em Workshops June 29 - July 1st (3-day camp, $96) This 3 day workshop week will be filled with fun, creative activities for kids with all interests. From building and painting to creating and playing, we ll be sure to keep them busy, active and entertained! We re focusing on the our own fun fireworks (non-explosive, of course) on Wednesday. They ll be ready and waiting for the 4th of July fun!
Sports Try-Athlon July 6-10 Not sure which sport is right up your alley, come join us for a week full of fun and sport after sport after sport. Try them all and have fun while playing with well practiced athletes. We ll have Football and Cheerleading, Soccer, Softball and Baseball, Tumbling, Dance, Kickball, Matball, and much, much more for you to explore. Even if you don t come away with a favorite, you re sure to come away tired and full of new fun ideas and games! Don t miss out on a week sure to please any sports fanatic! Extreme Make-Over: Prairie Life Edition July 13-17 Prairie Life s very own version of the hit T.V. show. From developing the plans, choosing the paint colors and design to hammering, building and the finished product...we ll test your skills and challenge your creativeness. No building skills you say? Don t worry, we ll instruct you each step of the way. Just bring a little creativity, a willingness to learn, and a can do attitude and see what we come up with! Full project and mini-take home versions will show our talents, efforts and hard work. Cruisin July 20-24 Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego? Where in the world is right! We ll spend this week traveling the globe, trying new cuisines, arts and crafts from native lands and games galore from all over the globe. Feeling adventurous? This camp is definitely for you. Sport Specific: Soccer and Basketball! July 27-31 Whether you re new at the sport or need a little refresher, we ve got a week of fun dedicated to the two most popular sports in Kansas City. With the help of local high school and college talent, we have a line up that includes defensive and offensive drills, basic ball handling and shooting. You re sure to come away with new skills and improved talents you can use! Man v. Nature August 3-7 At Prairie Life, we take your outdoor survival skills seriously! We go off campus to experience the outdoors, getting up close and personal with nature. From hiking trails to creating shelters, we will study edible plants, cook out and create treasures from nature. Making the outdoors home and creating young naturalists has never been so fun. Don t miss out on this ever popular camp! Prairie Life s Top Ten August 10-12 We had so much fun tallying your votes for favorite activities throughout the year, so we re topping off your summer with all of your top ten favorite activities from camp. Even if you re new to camps or to Prairie Life, you ll love experiencing a summer s worth of fun rolled up into one week. All the activities will be kid-tested and approved! Back-to-School BASH August 4th from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Free to members and guests We round out each summer with a Back to School celebration designed for all ages (even a little shopping for mom). A FREE day of fun, family, and friends. Enjoy a day at the pool, specials in the snack bar, morning of games, activities and special guests. Bring your friends as guests to our event, you won t want to miss the annual Back-to-School BASH!

Messy Marvels June 1-5 If you like exploring the world of art, your going to love all this camp has to offer. We will spend our time creating masterpieces you can be proud to take home and show off! Whether it is painting, sculpting or crafting; we re sure to get your imagination and creative side spinning! Camp Out! June 8-12 Kids love to explore, especially outdoors, so why not take em camping! We ll be setting up tents, building pretend fires, bug collecting, dangerous plants, and of course, S More making. From playing in a real tent to hiking in the great outdoors, your child is sure to love exploring the art of camping! Just a reminder: our stars are most comfortable in their own life jackets. No inflatables please! Please dress children in swim suits prior to camp, preferably after using the potty and don t forget your backpack!
Where the Wild Things Are June 15-19 Do your kids love animals, creatures and creepy crawlies? Come and learn about plants and animals through exploration and activity. We ll be looking at and interacting with real live animals and checking out their habitats. We ll even be creating habitats of our own (promise Moms, nothing too gross!). Let your wild ones come and explore with us! Chefs in the Kitchen June 22-26 This camp has been a summer favorite for the last 8 years. Little chefs learn to cook wonderful concoctions and create their very own masterpieces. The best part of this camp? The mess stays right here at Prairie Life. With nutrition being our secret ingredient, we ll introduce, design and test a variety of foods, and send home some of our most successful ideas. You, and the kids, don t want to miss out on this summer s delectable treats, register now! Einstein s and Explorers July 13-17 Measuring, mixing, creating...all of these things are part of what make up a good scientist. From Crystals and Slime to Rocket Poppers and Play-doh, these little Einstein s are just getting started and we re here to make science exciting and fun! Fantasies and Fairytales July 20-24 Who says the princess is the only one who can kiss a frog? From far off worlds and way out stories, we ll be exploring the world of fairytales and make believe. Don t let your imaginative prince or princess miss out on the action! Dino-mite Digs July 27-31 Treasure hunts for endangered species, excavating for buried treasures and learning about the pyramids, fossils, dinosaurs and more are all in store for these campers. Scavenger hunts, treasure map making and a lot of racing and hiding will all be a part of the fun! Come dig the action and be ready to get dirty! Where in the World Are We? August 3-7 We re going for a wonderful ride around the world. We ll be exploring new places, new cultures and having a great time experimenting with food and games. This camp is sure to be an adventure with lots of fun and surprises, with a little learning mixed in!
