Ronald McDonald House Charities Grissom is once again collected pop tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities! The pop tabs are recycled and sold for scrap metal. Last year, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana raised more than $40,000 from this program. A collection box will be in the Commons for your donations!
6 th /7 th Grade Girls Volleyball Tryouts Tryouts for 6 th and 7 th grade girls volleyball will be held from 7:30-8:30 am on Monday, Dec. 11 th and from 3:15-4:45 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 12 th. Permission forms are in the rack outside the Main Office and should be turned in to Coach Chicvara by Friday, Dec. 8 th.

Crayola ColorCycle Students and teachers will soon be collecting used markers (any brand!) to be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more! Boxes will be located in the Commons. The Crayola ColorCycle program can keep tons of plastic out of landfills each year! Remember, don t throw out that used marker ColorCycle it!
Internet Safety Please remind your parents to attend the Internet Safety presentation that will be held tonight 28 th at 7:00 pm here at Grissom. Det. Bonerak from the Tinley Park Police Department will be the presenter. (This meeting is for parents only!)

Student Support Before and after school Student Support is offered from 8:00-8:35 am each morning, and from 3:10-4:05 pm Monday through Thursday. You must arrive at the beginning of the session and stay for the whole time!
Water Bottle Filling Station Challenge Last year Grissom Patriots saved over 6,600 plastic water bottles from ending up in landfills by using the water bottle filling stations throughout the building. Please remember to use these instead of plastic bottles. So far this year, we ve saved 4,110 bottles from landfills! Let s beat last year s total!
