Golan, East Troy, Wisconsin OWNER: Chelsea Knox, San Clemente, California A leading contender for the most perfectly named American Quarter Horse of all time, this son of Mosby was born on the night of the 1990 Academy Awards, and was nicknamed (what else?) Oscar. 21 Acadamosby Award was foaled in Wisconsin. These days, he teaches yearlings manners at Highpoint Performance Horses in Texas. Dam Madcap Maggie s progeny earned 1,924 points 77 percent of those were earned by Oscar. He was a three-time AQHA Superhorse, and earned his world championships in open, amateur and youth competition during a span of 11 years. These titles were earned in hunter under saddle, hunter hack, working hunter, equitation over fences and pleasure driving. #3 Harley D Zip 16 1995 bay gelding Maximum Zip-Miss Faithfully by Captain Boss BREEDER: Kristy Tingle, Georgetown, Delaware OWNER: Highview Ranch Quarter Horses Inc., Rapid City, South Dakota Harley was a western riding machine: Every one of his world championships were in the class and were won between 2000 and 2011. He was an eight-time year-end high-point winner in open western riding, and was the overall year-end high-point horse in 2009. In 2014, Breyer Horses created a portrait model of the legendary gelding, who is enjoying his retirement at Highview Ranch. #4 A Certain Vino 2003 brown gelding Certain Potential-Dotevita by Zippo Jack Bar BREEDER: Tim and Lou Petty, Ocala, Florida OWNER: Lee Reeve, Garden City, Kansas The king of the western pleasure ring, A Certain Vino earned 1,172.5 in that class alone (all divisions). He also won 14 of his 15 world championships in that class; the other win was in western riding. This breeding cross also produced world champions Potential Diva and Certainly A Vision. Mytesly earned his first title in 2015, and has earned at least one each year since including four in 2018. His performance class? Barrel racing. #6 Vital Signs Are Good Vital Signs Are Good is one of two mares on this list. 2000 red roan mare Zippos Mr Good Bar-Vitalism by An Awesome Mister BREEDER: Kristin Rinkenberger, Morton, Illinois OWNER: Joe and Karen Moran, Laguna Hills, California 13 Her career started in 2002 and finished in 2013. During that time, she won western pleasure and western riding titles in open, amateur and youth competition. Lucy is the dam of world champions My Vital Valentine, VS Flatline and VS Check My Pulse, and reserve world champion Invest N Vital Signs. Lucy died in 2017. She is being inducted into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame in March. #7 (tied) Larks Happy Days 2002 bay gelding Rugged Lark-Emma Big Leaguer by Im A Big Leaguer BREEDER: Stephen Holloway, Chiefland, Florida OWNER: Lori Bucholz, Waterloo, Nebraska Larks Happy Days earned his world champion titles in a 12-year span of time; he earned his final one in 2018. His titles were earned in pleasure driving, equitation over fences, hunter hack, working hunter and hunt seat equitation. One of 542 foals sired by legendary American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame stallion Rugged Lark, Larks Happy Days is a full brother to world champion Larks Big Leaguer. Fonzie was officially retired at the 2018 Adequan Select World Championship Show. 12
#7 (tied) Its Gameday 2012 bay gelding Mr Touchdown Kid-JGM Sierras Sequel by Playgirls Reflection BREEDER: John and Gail Muirhead, Daysland, Alberta OWNER: Josh Weakly, Shelbyville, Illinois Its Gameday won his world championships all in halter classes from his weanling year through age 6, including two at the 2018 Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show. The only internationally bred horse on this list, Its Gameday was foaled in Alberta. 12 #8 Most Appealing Dream 11 2010 bay mare A Dream Remembered-Lil Bit Impulsive by A Sudden Impulse BREEDER/OWNER: Randy Alderson of Sharpsville, Indiana Most Appealing Dream has won at least one world championship in performance halter mares every year since 2013. Roxie is shown in amateur by breeder Randy Alderson s daughter, Andrea Alderson. When Roxie isn t being shown in performance halter, she competes in western pleasure. A Dream Remembered has sired one other AQHA world champion Chasing A Dream as well as the earners of 10,693 AQHA points.

Jr. and Nancy Knight, Winter Haven, Florida OWNER: Elizabeth Salisbury, Pilot Point, Texas 10 Guns Flash Bull earned titles in green working hunter, hunter under saddle, hunter hack and hunt seat equitation from 1989 through 1993. His titles were earned while he was owned by the Kaplow family of Chappaqua, New York, and he died in the mid-2000s. Dam Miss Flash Bull s progeny earned 4,284 points in their careers and include world champion Zipabull (by Zippo Pine Bar). #9 (tied) Majestic Scotch 1994 sorrel gelding One Scotch Delight-Two Eyed Natches by Two Eyed Punk BREEDER: Donald and Jean Bangasser, Waterloo, Iowa OWNER: Sharnai Thompson, Pilot Point, Texas Majestic Scotch, who died in 2013, was inducted into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame in 2017. He earned 3,848.5 points in all divisions, 13 Superiors and $60,276.68 through the AQHA Incentive Fund. 10 The gelding earned titles in western pleasure and western riding in a span of eight years. Dickie is the only world champion for both his sire and his dam.
