Pro Shop Notes By: Steve Hlavacek Well it won t be long and we can turn in our boats for golf carts and the course will be open. The heavy snow melt has given us a much larger pond on hole number 13. Now that the frost is out of the ground the pond is going down on a daily basis. Our rest room facility had about 10 inches of water but no real damage other than lots of sediment. We will have to paint the floors as soon as the weather gets warmer. Our ship Committee wants you to remember that we have our New ship Program going on right now. If you sign up a new member you can save 25% on your next year s dues and the new member gets 25% of the current year s dues. May 11th is the date of our ship Promotion Day. You can invite your friends and guests who are interested in joining for a day of free golf, carts, prizes, cocktails and snacks. We will be having an 18 hole Scramble starting at noon. Please contact the club to sign up for the event. Of all the new clubs on the market, no other golf club company other than Callaway has met the Golf Digest Gold Standard on both woods and Irons for 2019. We are having a Callaway Demo Day on May 10th from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Please call the club to make a reservation to be fit by a Certified Club Fitter.

Superintendent s Report By: Mark Livingston What a crazy winter it was. November was very cold, and then December was warm and snowless without a white Christmas. Next came January and February along with record cold, wind, and ice storms. I hope most of you were
able to escape Wisconsin for warmer weather at some point. I attended the Golf Industry Show in San Diego in early February and the weather there wasn t typical either, it rained almost every day. It was still a nice break and filled with great educational and networking opportunities. addition to our golf course. I am hoping for normal year without too much/little rain and seasonal temps. Good weather plays a major role in course conditions and project success. See you on the course. I was pleased to see that the golf course came through the winter in good shape considering the winter we had. There were some flooding issues similar to last year. The pump house on 2 and the restrooms on 13 both had water in them but only for a brief period. It amazed me how fast the water went down once the frost went out of the ground. We did have lots of branches come down during one of the wind storms, most of them were off white pines. This upcoming season we have a couple different projects planned. First, we are going to wrap up the green expansions. We will be sodding and plugging some of the expansion areas where grass didn t thrive with the lower mowing heights. This, along with topdressing the rest of the expansions, will help to blend them into the original green. The other project we will be working on is the construction of a new putting green. The new green will be just north of the existing one. You will see us preparing for construction in early summer by moving irrigation lines and other site work. Excavation will start in late June or early July with the goal of seeding the green early August. I am excited about the project and think it will be a nice
