The Michiana Dressage Club welcomes all levels of Dressage riders from Northern Indiana, Southern Michigan and surrounding areas. The season ends with an awards banquet where members receive recognition of their achievements for the year.

PRESIDENT S LETTER TO MICHIANA DRESSAGE CLUB MEMBERS Dear Members, I am honored to serve as President of the Michiana Dressage Club for the 2018-2019 year. I want to share with you some of my background details and my aspirations for MDC; starting with a thank you to Elizabeth Grainger for her presidential term last year. It was an honor to serve at her side. I hold a BA Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Equine Business. The focus of my studies at Midway College was primarily in Rules/Regulation/Administration in Equine Organizations. I held internships at the International Hunter Futurity and United States Pony Club and worked for USEF in the International Disciplines Department and USDF as Senior Coordinator of Member Services. As an Adult Amateur, with an extensive background in Hunt Seat Equitation, riding dressage is relatively new to me. Dressage has so much to offer me and my four-year-old Thoroughbred Steve. Yes, his name is Steve, Stevie Two Buckets to be exact. This could be its own story. My mission is for everyone in this club to feel supported by the MDC board. We are available to help with any questions you may have, and each board member s contact information is listed in this newsletter. MDC is for the love of the horse and the sport of Dressage, let s keep it simple, by working together and supporting each other this competition season. Sportsmanship is essential, let s cheer on every rider that enters at A and applaud as they salute the judge after a completed test. Afterall, who doesn t enjoy appreciation of hard work and a job well done. Happy Holidays! Christine N. Walker
