Both UW matches will be streamed live on BTN Plus. The tournament s first year in 2014 featured UW and USC out of the Pac-12 and Maryland and Wisconsin from the Big Ten, but after that year the Badgers dropped out and were replaced by Oklahoma out of the Big 12. The Huskies are aiming to finish the four year run with a perfect 8-0 record if they can win twice this week. In the Pac-12 stat rankings, UW is second in blocks at 3.41 per set, second in aces at 1.69, third in kills at 14.24, and fourth in digs at 14.28 per set, but ranks just eighth in attack percentage with a.267 mark.. Oklahoma comes in with a 3-6 record thus far, winning two of its last three matches over Nicholls State and Southern Mississippi but losing at Tulane last week. The Sooners have played one Pac-12 opponent, losing in four sets to Colorado. Oklahoma is being outhit on the season,.210 to.181. Alyssa Enneking has been a consistent scorer with 4.00 kills per set and a.247 attack percentage, and middle blocker Paige Anderson is hitting.274 with 1.62 kills and 0.97 blocks. Washington won the meeting with the Sooners each of the past two years, both in four sets. Maryland has yet to be beaten this season with a 9-0 record, though only three of those nine wins have come in straight sets. The Terps are hitting.303 on the season and holding opponents to a.153 mark. They have served 1.71 aces per set and are blocking 2.49 balls a set. Outside hitter Erika Pritchard s 3.37 kills per set leads the team and she is hitting.326, and also has an impressive 24 aces already, a 0.69 aces per set average that ranks fourth nationally. Cook officially took the reins as the Head Coach of Husky Volleyball in January of 2015, following two seasons as an assistant that produced two of the best years in Washington history... in a whirlwind first year on staff as an assistant coach, Cook helped the Huskies advance to the 2013 Final Four indoors and then was named Head Coach of the new Beach Volleyball program which played its inaugural matches in April of 2014... Cook s second season saw the Huskies roll to a 25-0 record to start the season, the longest win streak in program history. The Huskies went 31-3 and made the NCAA round of 16... working with the Husky offense, specifically the setters and middles, Cook helped produce big improvements, going from.251 the year before Cook s arrival to.274 and 14th in the NCAA in 2013, to.311 and a fourth-place national ranking in 2014, then to No. 2 in the nation at.305 in 2015... got his start in collegiate coaching at St. Mary s, going from a volunteer assistant up to the top assistant coach... over Cook s final five years at St. Mary s, the Gaels advanced to the NCAA Championships three times, including a trip to the second round in his last season in 2012... helped lead the Gaels to their first West Coast Conference title in program history in 2009 and another NCAA second round appearance... Cook s teams have consistently been among the best serving teams in the nation. Washington led the Pac-12 in aces per set in 2013 and 2014 and ranked second in 2015, and the Gaels led the West Coast Conference at the service line every year from 2009-12.
