Duration per participant-7 minutes Max. No. of entries per inst./dept.-1 Participants will be allowed to sing any song of their choice. They will have to practice with orchestra for two days 5th and 6 nd Feb, 2016. SINGING-GROUP:- Max. duration per group-10 minutes Max. No. of students per group-6 Participants will be allowed to sing any song of their choice. They will have to practice with orchestra for two days 5th and 6 nd Feb, 2016. INSTRUMENT PLAYING:- Max. duration per group-6 minutes Max. No. of students per group-3

ROCKBAND:- Auditions will be held for the formation of ROCKBAND, and the interested candidates may come for the auditions. DANCE DANCE-SOLO:- Max. Duration-7minutes Max. No. of entries per dept./inst.-1 Participant will be allowed to use any prop of his/her choice. DANCE-GROUP:- Max. Duration per group:-10minutes Max. No. of entries per inst./dept.-1 No. of students per group-10 Classical Dance (Solo INDIAN):- Each Institute/department can send only 1 entry Maximum students allowed areonly 1. The classical dance can be from any of the approved dance forms such as Kathak, Kathakali, Bharat Natyam, Xatriya, Manipuri, Kuchipudi, Mohiniattam, Odissi etc. Participant is allowed to perform for 8 minutes including time for preparation. Judgement will be based on the qualities like tal, technique, rhythm, abhinaya(expression), costumes, footwork and general impression. THEATRE SKIT:- Max. Duration per group-8mins Max. No. of entries per dept./inst-1 Number of students per group-10 Participants will be allowed to use props which will have to be arranged and managed by the participants themselves. Background music is allowed. Each Inst. /Dept. is requested to get their script of the skit to be approved and signed by their dept. /Inst. Coordinators Each team will get a time of 2 mins for stage setup. Participants will be allowed to use different props of their own choice. MIME:- Only one entry per Institute/department Maximum number of participants allowed is six Judgement will be based on the qualities like idea, creativity of presentation, use of make-up, music and general impression. Maximum duration of performance shall be 5 minutes. MIMICRY& STANDUP COMEDY:- Max. duration-5 minutes Max. No. of students per group 1 FASHION SHOW:- Max. duration per group-15 minutes Max. No. of students per group-20

Each Inst. /Dept. is requested to get their theme to be approved and signed by their dept. /Inst. Coordinators. And the Coordinators are requested to submit the theme to Divyesh Patel (Hard + Soft Copy) latest by February 4,2016. Mr. and Miss. CHARUSAT:- Max. No. of students per group-2 Rounds will be decided and informed to the participants by 6 th Feb, 2016. FINE ARTS RANGOLI:- Max. duration - 120 minutes Max. No. of entries per Inst./Dept. -Unlimited Max. No. of students per group-1 Ad-Mad Show:- Max. No. of students per group-4 Round-1 Prepare an ad of your choice, should not exceed 1 min, see to it that the idea is not stolen or copied from any source. The ad that is found to be copied, shall be eliminated the very moment. The participant should take note that their ad should in no sense hurt anyone s sentiments. Round-2 Prepare an ad based on the product given to you, participants will be given 10 min to prepare the ad Round-3 Each Team shall be given a product, for which they have to prepare its prospectus punch line and the team should name the product as well. Creative Painting:- Max. duration-120mins Max. No. of entries per Inst./Dept. -Unlimited Max. No. of students per group-1 Here the students will have to make their painting on any base (e.g. Glass, Fabric, etc.)which they need to bring themselves, and theme would be given on the spot. DOCUMENTRY MOVIE MAKING:- Max. No. of entries per Inst./Dept. -Unlimited Max. No. of students per group-4 All the actors in the movie must be students of CHARUSAT. The movie must be of Maximum 10 min. The movie is to be submitted to the Event Coordinator latest by 6 th Feb, 2016. PHOTOGRAPHY:- Max. No. of entries per Inst./Dept. -Unlimited Max. No. of participants per group-1 Here the students will have to click photos on the theme- Make in INDIA, DIGITAL INDIA and Man with Science and Machine. Participants will have to submit 1 photo latest by 12:00 pm 11 th Feb, 2016 to the Event Coordinator. Each participants has to bring his/her own camera. No mixing, matching or morphing of photography will be permitted.

Photo editing Software such as Photoshop, CorelDrawetc. for enhancing the image is not permitted The host department/institute will have all rights for the use of this pictures as and when they deem fit Digital Images will beevaluated on the basis of IMPACT, COMPOSITION, TECHNICAL QUALITY, PHOTO STORYand SUITABILITY for the specific theme. The additional instructions will be announced on the spot Installation: - (Replacing Recycle) Maximum a team of 4 students and only 1 team form each department/institute. Participating teams will be allowed to bring finite resources, and what they had made out will be explained to the judges after event. Theme will be culture diversity in India and one more theme will be given at the time of event. Maximum space will be 10x10 or one room with height of maximum 12 feet. MEHNDI:- Max. duration-2 hours 30 mins Max. No. of entries per Inst./Dept. -Unlimited Max. No. of students per group-1 Participant need to bring another person on whosehand he/she will put Mehndi. Collage:- Only one entry per Institute/department Topic/ subject will be given on the spot, sheet size 15 x22 Duration will not be more than 2 hours 30 minutes. Participants shall bring their own scissors, pasting and other material required for the contest. Collage has to be prepared from old magazines. The host department/institute will provide the drawing paper of the size 15 x22. Clay Modelling Only one entry per Institute/department Duration will not be more than 2 hours 30 minutes. Topic/size and other specific rules shall be announced on the spot. Clay shall be provided by the host department/institute. Cartooning Only one entry per Institute/department Subject/idea will be declared on the spot Duration will not be more than 2 hours 30 minutes. Participants shall bring their own material. Only the drawing paper 22 x15 will be provided by the host institute/department. Literary POETRY WRITING:- Max. duration - 30 minutes Max. No. of entries per Inst./Dept. -Unlimited Max. No. of students per group 1 Topic will be given on the spot Written poetry should be unique. Poetry writing is encouraged in English, Hindi or Gujarati

DEBATE:- Max. duration per group-2+2+2=5 minutes Max. No. of students per group-2 Both the participants will be given 2 minutes each to speak. One will speak for the topic and one will speak against the topic. After that 2 minute will be given for rebottling. Elocution Only one speaker per Institute/department Medium of expression will be English/Hindi They will allowed to speak for 10 mins Subject/Topic will be declared in Meeting before a MarchProcession. The item shall be prose or poetry and not a song. The sequence of speaker will be decided by a draw of lots. Quiz:- Maximum entries from each institute/department is 1. Group of maximum 2 students Round 1-Elimination round Round 2-Quiz general Round 3-Selective quiz Round-4-A-V round Round-5-Final round6c Extempore:- Participants will be allowed to speak on a given topic for 5 minutes topic will be given on the spot Only 1 entry form each department/institute Round-1 Time to think will be given for 2 minutes Round-2 No thinking time direct speaking, No internet or cell phone allowed, Participants are advised to refer current topics. GAMES DUMB CHARADE:- Max. No. of students per group-3 Here the students cannot split the word into more than two parts. No pointing and lipmovements will be permitted. ANTAKSHARI:- Max. No. of students per group-2 The rounds will be decided on the spot by host dept. /inst. TREASURE HUNT:- Max. No. of students per group-4 All the participants will be provided with clues with the help of which they will have to reach the final destination. There will be elimination round, and the teams clearing the elimination round will go through. The group which reaches the final destination & reports first to the Event coordinator will be declared as the treasurer. Other rules will be declared on the spot. In any case final decision will be considered of the Event coordinator.

One Minute Game:- Max. duration-60 mins Max. No. of entries per Inst./Dept. - 1 Max. No. of students per group-3 Rounds will be declared on the spot. Back to carnival Maximum entries per department/institute is 1 and maximum students allowed per team is 3. Round-1 will be Big Boss Parody (Each and every team will be given a set of inappropriate characters from the Big Boss house and the Bollywood industry. Then they ll be asked to put up a humorous and hilarious act of 3-5 minutes along with their team and the set of characters given to them. Example: A team of 3 (consisting of 1 boy and 2 girls) are given AlokNath, Dolly Bindra and Sunny Leone as a set of characters and are told to put up an entertaining/funny act.) Vulgarity and obscenity will not be tolerated in any of the round and case. Round-2 (Situational Crises.) Description: This will be a spontaneous round. A critical situation will be given to the team on the spot and to test their spontaneity and problem solving skills the team needs to come to a conclusion for the same within the time span of 1 minute. There s a possibility of counter question/questions from the jury panel depending on the solutions which the team gives for the situational crises. Round-3 Surprise Round decided by host institute or department. General Rules for the SPOURAL 16 The participants are requested to study the rules and regulations for the various events given above. The decision of the judges appointed for different events shall be final and binding upon all. There will be a March Procession a day ahead of SPOURAL i.e 8 th February, 2016. All the department/institute participating students have to strictly join it at sharp 2:30 PM at cricket ground. Maximum team of 25 students including central council members and faculties are allowed to take part in March Procession. All the Entries should be submitted on or before 6 th February, 2016 to Divyesh Patel (CE Department) (In hard and soft format) Event Lots will be given along the topic for debate and elocution in a general meeting with the department faculty coordinator. Event Lots will be performed according to the group number of events and all department/institute have to perform on allocated slots only. There will two screening committee as a sensor board of SPOURAL 16. Each Institute/Department have to take permission of sensor board committee before performing on the stage. Discipline criteria will be observed throughout the festival. If the student is participating in more than one event then he/she is solely responsible for his/her own clashes. Prizes We will declare the champion and runners up department/institute at the end of SPOURAL 16 on February 11, 2016. Total evaluation of cultural and sports (optional) events will be consider for the champion and runners up department/institute.
