Meet Helpers Meet Format Each school will get at least 2 students or parents who can help with the meet for both days. Jobs needed are mostly timers and runners. Experience is good, but not necessary. Having the same workers for both days is best so that Saturday will run even smoother than Friday because the workers will be comfortable with the jobs. Head Coaches are to email the names of the workers by Wednesday February 22 nd so they can be on the deck pass list. This will be a prelims/ finals meet. The order of events for preliminaries and finals, except for diving, will be in accordance with the National Federation of Swimming and Diving Rule Book. Swimming Preliminaries will be held on Friday with Finals to be held on Saturday. During Preliminaries on Friday, we will take a following the Medley Relay; a 15 minute break following the 50 Free; and a following the 500 Freestyle. Diving preliminaries and semi-finals will be held on Friday evening. During Finals on Saturday there will be a following the 200 Medley Relay event, 10 minute diving warm up prior to diving, and a 5 minute break following the awards for the 100 Freestyle. For the Saturday Finals Session, consolation heat competitors (9-16) are to report directly behind the blocks for their heat. Finals heat competitors are to report to the staging area near the pool office. The top seed shall be allowed to choose an appropriate song to which the top heat will parade out to the blocks immediately prior to their heat and will also parade out for the awards ceremony. Seeding Seeding for preliminaries will be done by using championship circle seeding for the top 3 heats and slowest to fastest for the remaining heats. The Top 16 for finals will be seeded by time with the 8 fastest eligible to compete in the Finals Heat the 9 th through 16 th fastest eligible to compete in the Consolation Heat. 17 th and 18 th places will be considered alternates to compete in the case that a top 16 finisher is unable to compete on Saturday. Diving will be seeded by random draw for preliminaries. The dive order will not change for the remainder of the competition. Following completion of the first 5 rounds, the field will be cut to the top 20 divers. After completing round 8, the field will be cut to the top 16 divers to compete at Finals on Saturday. Marshalling Entry Rules This event will be self-marshalled. No contestant shall be entered in more than four (4) events, including relays and diving. Competition in diving is considered one of the two (2) individual events and must be indicated on the entry form. If the contestant is entered in four (4) events, two individuals and two relays or three relays and one individual are permitted.

A team has UNLIMITED individual entries. If more than 4 individuals are entered in any event you do not need to designate which swimmers/divers are exhibition. Any swimmer or diver (up to 4 individuals per team) will be permitted to advance to consolations or finals, regardless of initial seed time. Your A and B relays will swim/compete as varsity. All other relays must be declared exhibition on your electronic entry. All swimmers must be entered with times. Divers must be entered in the diving event on the Hy-Tek entry file. Relays Please indicate in the Hy-Tek entry program which relays you are swimming (A, B, C). Relays must be entered with seed times. You need not include names for relays with your Hy-Tek entry file. This card will be the official relay entry. Any of the individuals listed on the relay card for a particular relay (A, B or C) may swim in the prelims, swimoffs and/or finals in that relay provided he/she does not exceed the permitted entries for the meet. Those swimmers, not competing for that relay, but listed on the entry card, can be eligible for competition at a later time. Once a swimmer or alternate is listed for a particular relay (Medley A, B or C), he/she may only compete on the A, B or C relay under which he/she is listed. You must declare your relays one event prior to the relay. You can turn in your cards at any time but must turn them in one event prior.
