Freshman Kacy Kapinos has a personal-best six faceoff wins (losing just one) and three groundballs against the Wolverines. Junior Michael Italiano has two or more groundballs in each of his last eight games, including eight vs. Virginia March 16, five at Notre Dame March 20 and four vs. Hobart April 6. He already has a career-high 32 groundballs this year, passing the 17 he had as a freshman. He also has three goals on the year, with a tally at Michigan. After an assist at Michigan, sophomore David Planning has a point in all but two games this season and has a career-high nine goals, four assists and 13 points this year, topping the six tallies and nine points he had as a rookie. Junior defenseman Joe Meurer is ninth in the ECAC with 1.27 caused turnovers per game, leading the Buckeyes with 14. Schuss as a Senior Senior Logan Schuss leads Ohio State with 46 points, ranking first in the ECAC with 4.18 points per game. He is first on the team with 27 goals and 19 assists and has multiple goals in seven of 11 games with multiple points in 10 of 11 outings. Against Michigan, Schuss had a career-high five assists after tying his career high with four vs. Hobart the week before. It is tied for the sixth-highest single game total in program history and was the 17th five-assist game for a Buckeye. He had his second career 10-point game vs. the Wolverines, with the first in the season opener vs. Detroit. His 10-point days tie for sixth in program history and he is the third to have at least two games with double-digit points. Schuss, who led the Buckeyes in scoring each of his first three seasons, is now third in program history with 211 points, first with 129 goals and fourth with 82 assists.
