DA INITIATIVES CUP DA Boys Connects elite youth players, coaches, and referees with US Soccer educational resources Prioritize individual long-term player development Less fatigue from overplaying too many games Improved preparation for matches Overall Improved game quality from mandated principles throughout the league Exposure to the highest level players in the Region & Country 18

DA MATCHDAY US Soccer Matches & progress monitored by US Youth National Team scouts and Technical Advisor Clubs are evaluated in various areas - style of play, quality of player, coaching points, culture Players are evaluated for Training Centers & YNT Camps Matchday focus Player performance over result Results do have importance from a competing component No standings or results based DA events for U13-U15 age groups U12 Futsal Showcase results based Copa Rayados and other non DA events may be results based 19

Rosters: 2 teams per club MATCH DAY DETAILS 24-26 full-time players 11-13 players / team on matchday U12 Fluid balanced rosters throughout the season Balanced ability, body size, relative age, older/younger, etc. Matchday Format 9v9, 30 minute halves, 1 ref per game Unlimited substitutions Matches are side by side on many days Players should play many positions, GK may be exception 29-33 official matches / event matches per season 20

PHILOSOPHY OF SOCCER Our philosophy of soccer is constructed upon the belief of a collaborative and collective environment that prides ourselves in developing the best possible individuals that are also great teammates and future leading members of society. Ø Player first Ø Club culture (individual, family & represent) Ø Communication & Organization 22

PHILOSOPHY OF SOCCER Player movement within CUP is based on individual player needs first. Team needs must be part of the discussion however, ultimate decision based on individual player needs Relative age must be considered when making initial recommendations at tryouts as well play up opportunities U10-U14 crossover sports movements & activities are supported especially basketball with a agreed upon plan for your sports season and how it relates to CUP seasonal plan U15+ ages it is possible to play other sports, please speak with technical director prior to committing as player safety is paramount to CUP Fall teams written and discussion evaluation periods over winter. We are continuing to improve this process Player self-evaluation important to the process Player First 23

PHILOSOPHY OF SOCCER Individual players mentality and attitude towards training and games Individual player commitment to club and team Individual player handling of difficult and positive moments Team first attitude and approach Respect for teammates and coaches Club Culture - Individual Training grids are organized for CUP to allow for the player to feel they are part of a club instead of a individual team Player movement for training and matches - opportunities with other teams and coaches Protecting the home & opponent grass fields (AD warm-ups, SAQ, rondos, etc. off fields where possible). No trash left behind even if not yours 24

PHILOSOPHY OF SOCCER Club Culture - Family Family support to ensure this level of dedication and commitment is possible Disruptive families do not have a place in any boys CUP no matter the level of player. A change will be made at the soonest available moment that is fair and just for all. Family does not try to solve all problems for player. Adversity builds character and is a part of life. Positive supporter of son, his teammates, and his club in all environments. Family is protective of overall well-being of child. Helps staff connect with son. Look for anything out of place. Encouraged to speak up if something s not right Disconnect parents from player training environment 25

PHILOSOPHY OF SOCCER Club Culture - Family 26

PHILOSOPHY OF SOCCER Club Culture Club Representation Positive influence both on field & off field Positive/leadership in social media Respect for each other; family, the player, the teacher, teammates, facilities (home and away), referee crew, opponent, competing market clubs Encourage team inclusive goal celebrations Teams supporting of other during matches at training facilities and tournaments. All CUP teams walk across to clap for parents post match after shaking hands of opponent 27

PHILOSOPHY OF TEACHING Staff is to be clear and honest in all scenarios with players Ownership on the field for the players Staff to Players Players encouraged to be in charge of their development using the tools that the staff provides Coach positive encouragement from the sidelines Shows players that they can surpass the limits they give themselves (technical & physical) Focus on the end product and bigger picture for the individual players Coaching away from ball, sit / stand / speak, guided discovery Show interest in players as people, encourage comradery amongst players and staff that goes beyond wins and losses 28
