HELP! WE RE HAVING A BABY Monday, October 29 BBC One Wales, 8.30pm In Help! We re Having a Baby, seven sets of parents have allowed the cameras to follow them through the first few months of bringing home their babies, giving an unfiltered look at what it s like to become a new family in modern Wales. The new parents are learning that every new baby comes with one guaranteed unexpected gift - a lifetime of worry! The mums and dads have all got something keeping them awake at night, from vaccinations to being away from the baby for the first time. Tristan and Katie from Cardiff want to ensure their twin baby Louis, who has Down s syndrome, has a life as fulfilling as her little sister Roxie. It s been a whirlwind year for Sam and Rob in Machen, with their wedding and the arrival of unexpected triplets. And to celebrate their first anniversary, the pair decide to have a night away from their three new daughters - but leaving them proves to be an emotional wrench. In Newport, Ryan and Sara enjoy taking part in World War Two re-enactment events. It was once a favourite pre-baby hobby but could it be a back-in-time adventure too far this time, with baby Holly in tow? To draw in the crowds, they announce Sir Tom Jones is due to make an appearance - but it s clear he s not coming. New CEO Elaine Gibbons (Sally Phillips) seeks out new levels of relaxation ahead of a key summit with the heads of the Irish and Scottish tourist boards. She is going to unveil her plans for a pan Celtic break. What do the three countries have in common, besides golf? And do they really need to get the English board involved? Meanwhile Nez (Elis James) reveals an augmented reality app for Welsh heritage spots which is capable of causing shock and awe. Sioned Gwyn 3
THE TUCKERS Wednesday, October 31 BBC One Wales, 10.40pm This brand new sitcom, written by and starring Steve Speirs (Stella, Upstart Crow), follows the trials and tribulations of The Tuckers. A close-knit extended family led by Peggy, with her son Glyn (Steve Speirs) second in command, they strive to earn a living not always in the most honourable of ways - in the fictitious valleys town of Tregarreg. With an upcoming wedding to cater for, brothers Billy and Bobby get stuck with bags full of frozen food, stolen from the back of a van. But with not enough space in the freezer at home, they ll have to get help storing it elsewhere. Meanwhile, neighbour Natalie is expecting her new Italian boyfriend Roberto to move in with her as he leaves his wife, and the last thing she wants is a visit from ex-husband Bobby. Despite all the bickering amongst themselves though, they bond together in times of crisis.
