Club Kawana Catch-Up June 2016 Enjoying the Deck It s great to see members and visitors enjoying our open deck spaces. It is certainly a great area for alfersco dining, and for viewing the bowl s ac on. Unfortunately comple on of the deck ceiling has been delayed due to structural problems found in the roof above the deck. These problems are not new and we thank the Building Contractors for their ini a ve in inves ga ng the problem with leaks throughout the clubhouse. Simple remedies are not a viable op on. We have engaged a building engineer to determine what remedial ac on has to be taken. Members can be assured that the ma er will be properly addressed. In the mean me con- nue to enjoy the deck. I ll buy the next one Harvy but we ll take it outside and sit on the deck. I promised my wife I wouldn t stay inside drinking at the bar all day. The new larger deck at Club Kawana proved to be the perfect venue for these out rigger compe tors to celebrate their successes in the recent World Out Rigger compe ons held on Lake Kawana.
