12 Apostles Mountain Bike Classic Waste Wise Event Program The 12 Apostles Mountain Bike Team encourages all riders and spectators to look after their waste at the start/finish areas and along the course. The 12 Apostles region is a unique and beautiful area so please take the environment into consideration. Please follow these three simple steps; 1) Dispose your waste properly We strongly recommend all riders and spectators to place their rubbish in the allocated bins or back in their bags, and please be aware of what they leave behind. Bins and rubbish disposal facilities are available at each start/finish line. 2) Pack it in, pack it out The event encourages riders to pack their own energy bars and hydration drinks during the ride. Therefore please ensure you have a small zip-lock bag or a stuff sack to carry all of your wrappers and rubbish in. 3) Leave what you find The leave what you find initiative is all about the importance of leaving rocks, fallen branches, plants and other natural objects as you find them since they provide homes for animals and insects. Encore Event Evaluation Kit To help organisers improve the event and the sustainability of the region, we encourage all riders to fill out a simply survey. This will be sent via email after the event.
