A message from your Captain AGM Gracehill Men s Club AGM will take place on Friday 18th March 2016 in the clubrooms of Gracehill House. The meeting will commence at 8pm and all members are asked to attend. This is your Club and your opportunity to voice your opinions. Much has happened to the clubhouse and course over the past 12 months. Your positive and negative views in respect of these changes will be welcome. A representative from Gracehill House will be present at this meeting. I urge you all to attend and present your views of the changes and to give your vision of how our course and club can progress for the future. We need your current email address and mobile phone number. This is the quickest and best way to communicate with you. Forward all details to the club please. We have asked for this before with little success. We need these numbers! This meeting is an opportunity to welcome in the new Club Captain and wish him success over the coming year. I hope to see you all there. Slow Play Once again this has raised its ugly head. Please avoid slow play. If you are falling behind the players in front, please follow the etiquette of golf and invite the players behind to play through. Avoid the embarrassment of being the recipient of a letter from the Committee in respect of this issue. Further to this, pitchmarks and divots still blight our course you MUST repair these. Even if you didn't cause the mark or divot why not repair it? If we all did this, the problem would go away and you will enjoy your golf even more. Thank You! As is normal, the Captain nominates a Charity for his year in office. This year I opted for the Alzheimer's Society due to my father having suffered from this terrible illness. To date a total of 733 has been raised. This is money donated by you through the Charity Day Competition, Nearest the Pin Competition, Captain s Day draw and the collection box at the bar. Please congratulate yourselves 733 is an amazing total. Thank you for you support and to all who helped me with this. Winter League This is again being organised by Ian Morrison and John Sayers. Competition rules etc. will be placed in the Clubhouse soon. Please support these men who, as always, do an excellent job with Competition support Ian and John. GUI Teams The team selection sheets should by now be on the notice board Enter these teams and represent your club. This is the only time you get to plat Team golf.
