CIVILIAN MARKSMANSHIP PROGRAM.22 RIMFIRE PISTOL AND SERVICE PISTOL EXCELLENCE-IN-COMPETION MATCHES Saturday, April 18, 2015 Sponsoring Organization: The matches are sponsored by the Anne Arundel Fish & Game Conservation Association, Inc. Rules: In accordance with the current addition of the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Competition Rules for Service Rifle and Pistol. The CMP rules are available at http://thecmp.org/wp-content/uploads/rulebook.pdf. Eligibility: Open to all eligible participants. You need not be a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), AAF&G, or a CMP affiliated club to participate. Registration Fees: $5.00 Administration $10.00 for the.22 Rimfire Pistol EIC Match $10.00 for the Service Pistol EIC Match Entries: Competitors are encouraged to register by mail using the attached entry form with the appropriate fees. Competitors can pre-register by e-mail or telephone providing the entry form information. Registration will then be completed and fees paid upon arrival. Mail registration and pre-registration will insure proper squadding, facilitating the smooth conduct of the matches. The EIC course of fire will be continuously conducted commencing with the.22 Rimfire Pistol EIC match. The following relays will be filled in with.22 Rimfire Pistol competitors and Service Pistol competitors until all EIC competition is completed. There must be at least six non-distinguished shooters for each EIC Match. Match Schedule: The CMP.22 Rimfire Pistol EIC Match and the Service Pistol EIC Match will be fired Saturday, April 18, 2015 beginning promptly at 10:00a.m.. The first relay will commence with the.22 Rimfire Pistol EIC Match, and subsequent relays will commence the Service Pistol EIC Match. Relays will be 1

conducted until all.22 Rimfire and Service Pistol EIC Match competitors have completed firing. Course of fire: The 30 shot National Match Course (NMC) (see rule 7.3.1 Table 5) will be fired. The slow fire stage will be shot at 50 yards on B-6 targets. The timed and rapid fire stages will be shot at 25 yards on turning B-8 targets. The course of fire for the CMP.22 Pistol and Service Pistol EIC Matches will be: Stage #1 - Slow Fire (10 shots), one 10 shot string fired in 10 minutes Stage #2 - Timed Fire (10 shots), two 5 shot strings fired in 20 seconds each Stage #3 - Rapid Fire (10 shots), two 5 shot strings fired in 10 seconds each All firing shall be done in the standing one-hand position (see rule 7.1.2). The ready position for the.22 Rimfire Pistol EIC Match timed and rapid-fire stages is with the loaded pistol down at the 45 degree angle. If the bench is too high the arm can be raised to not contact the bench. The ready positon for the Service Pistol EIC Match timed and rapid-fire stages is with the armed raised and the loaded pistol pointed at the target. Firearms: For the.22 Rimfire Pistol EIC Match the pistol may be semi-automatic or a revolver, chambered for the.22 caliber Rimfire long rifle cartridge (40 grain lead only), have open sights, no more than a 10 inch sight radius, and a trigger pull of at least 2.0 pounds (see rule 6.4.2 for all requirements). For the Service Pistol EIC Match the pistol must comply with rule 6.3.3 for U.S. service pistols, or be in the list of Other Approved Service Pistols, rule 6.3.4 Table 3. For general service pistol requirements and approved service pistol modifications see rules 6.3.1 and 6.3.2 respectively. Service pistol competitors my use any safe ammunition loaded with metal-jacket bullets (see rule 6.6.2). Awards: EIC credit points to earn the respective distinguished badge will be given to the top 10% of competitors in each EIC Match (see rule 9.26 Table 9). In addition, the top 10% competitors must equal or exceed the Minimum Credit Score (MCS) for the discipline fired (see rule 9.2.7). The MCS for.22 Rimfire pistol is 260, and the MCS for Service Pistol is 250. Achievement pins will be provided by CMP to competitors who equal or exceed EIC achievement award cut-scores (see rule 5-11-3). The cut-scores for the gold, silver, and bronze achievement pins for each discipline are as follows:.22 Rimfire Pistol: 265, 250, 235 Service Pistol: 256, 245, 230 Challenges: A challenge fee of $1 must be posted for any challenge, and will be returned to the shooter if the challenge is successful. Challenges will be judged by a 3-person jury designated by the chief range officer. Squadding: The CMP EIC Matches will be squadded. Squadding information will be available beginning one hour before the commencement of the match. Match Conditions: Scoring will be done down range after every 10 shots. 2

Competitors will be responsible for repairing their own targets, and must provide their own staplers and staples. Violations of CMP and NRA pistol rules, or good safety practices, will result in the shooter s removal from the range and forfeiture of fees. Eye and ear protection must be supplied by each shooter, and must be worn during all firing. Signing of a club hold harmless agreement, and a CMP Eligibility Affidavit and Liability Agreement is required of all competitors. Sanitary facilities and a soda/water machine are available in the club house near the range. Directions to Range: AAF&G is located at 1730 Saint Margarets Road in Annapolis, three miles west of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. From MD Route 50 eastbound, take Exit 28, Bay Dale Drive. Stay left to the stop sign on the service road. Make a left at the stop sign and proceed toward the Red Hot & Blue Restaurant. At the restaurant, make a right onto Old Mill Bottom Road. At the next intersection, make a right onto Saint Margarets Road (Route 179). Go 0.7 miles on Saint Margarets Road. The entrance to the club is on the right just before Mill Creek. Cross a small bridge over the creek an you have gone too far. Classification: The NRA classification system for conventional pistol competitions will be used for the NRA 1800, including Rule 19.6 (assigned classifications for shooters with classifications in related NRA pistol events). Individuals who have not been classified will fire in the Master Class. Competitors must provide proof of classification upon request. NRA Divisions/.22-Only Competitors: Competitors may elect to shoot in any division (Open, Metallic, or Production) by so notifying the Match Director prior to the commencement of the 1800 match. Any competitor who does not otherwise so notify the Match Director of such election shall compete in the Open division. Scores fired in all divisions will be combined for awards purposes. Competitors may also elect to shoot only.22 caliber guns during the entire NRA 1800 by so notifying the Match Director prior to the commencement of the NRA 1800. NRA Awards: Awards will be given to the open winners in each of the 11 matches. A first place award will be given in each class and category for each match provided that there are at least 5 competitors in the class and category. A second place award will be given if there are at least 10 competitors in the class and category, and a third place award will be given if there are at least 15 competitors in the class and category. Competitors who elect to shoot only.22 caliber guns during the entire NRA 1800, as provided above, will be in an awards category separate from all other competitors, will not be eligible for open class, or category awards, and will not be eligible for any awards unless at least 5 competitors shoot.22 only. Awards will be forwarded to winners by check, cash, or NRA award points. CMP Awards: Gold, Silver, and Bronze Achievement Pins will be presented to competitors (Distinguished or Non-Distinguished), in the CMP EIC Matches, that equal or exceed Achievement Award Scores. The cutscores for the gold, silver, and bronze achievement pin are as follows:.22 Rimfire Pistol: 265, 250, 235 Service Pistol: 256, 245, 230 Points Points are given to any non-distinguished shooters who place in the top ten percent of nondistinguished shooters, provided that the score fired by the competitor equals or exceeds the EIC Minimum Credit Score (Rule, 9.2.7). Calculations are based on rule 9.2.6. All Points are issued by the CMP. Minimum EIC Scores To receive EIC credit points, the score fired by the competitor must fulfill the requirements of Rule 9.2.6 (top 10%) and equal or exceed the EIC Minimum Credit Score (MCS) for that discipline (see CMP Rule 9.2.7). MCS scores are: Service Pistol. 250.22 Rimfire Pistol. 260 Challenges: A challenge fee of $1.00 will be charged for each challenge made. Challenges will be judged and validated by a designated 3 person jury. Squadding: All matches will be squadded. Squadding information will be issued from the Statistical Office, located on the firing line, and will be available one hour before starting time. -2-

Match Conditions: Scoring will be done down range. Competitors will pass scorecards right and score the target on their left; a range officer will score the high target. Competitors will be responsible for repairing their own targets. Scorers and competitors must sign each scorecard in order to receive credit for the match. Range personnel will assist in every way possible to avoid delays. Competitors may use NRA approved overlays to assist in scoring targets. To keep the tournament moving along smoothly overlays that magnify the target may not be used by competitors. Only Range Officers may use NRA approved scoring plugs. If a shooter disagrees with the point value of a shot a Range Officer can be requested to plug it. Once a plug is placed in a target it may not be removed until the score is resolved. Challenged targets will be removed from the target frame by a range officer and taken to the Chief Range officer for scoring. Competitors must provide their own staples and staple guns. Range Facilities: The Anne Arundel Fish and Game clubhouse provides sanitary facilities and a soda/water machine. A noon meal will usually be provided for a nominal fee. If you cross a small bridge over the creek, you have gone too far.
