Ireland s Coast to Coast Multisport Edition Pack Collection Pack Collection for ALL events Non-Stop & Two Day Multisport will be at 8PM on Friday 13 May 2016 at the Ocean Sands Hotel in Enniscrone, Co Sligo. Each Solo or team will collect the following: - Laminated maps and route cards, support crew booklet, timing chip, bike/helmet/boat & backpack numbers and GPS Tracker with a waterproof bag. Tracking Family and friends can follow your progress online, and details of your tracker and the URL will be provided to you to share. Trackers are mandatory, and must be transferred from your gear accordingly. Instructions will be provided with the tracker, and tracking will be available from http://www.26extreme.com/gps-tracking.aspx Event Briefing Race briefing will be held at 8:30pm sharp in the Ocean Sands Hotel, Enniscrone, and will take approximately half an hour. There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the briefing, and Event Directors will be available to chat post briefing also. Packs will not be ready prior to 8pm. If you want to reserve one to buy please drop an email to info@26extreme.com As the final cycling section will be in the hours of darkness your support crew must drive no less than 50 meters behind you at all times with hazard lights flashing on their vehicle,. You also must have functioning front and back bike lights fitted to your bike. Head Torch/back up batteries or torch for mountain section at night. A high visibility vest/jacket must be worn from dusk dawn during cycle stage. We recommend that support crew also wear high visibility garments when out of their vehicles. There are no mandatory stops on the final bike section and you are permitted to stop as often or as little as you want to. No drafting your support vehicle is allowed and anyone found in breach of this will be immediately disqualified. Your support crew is also allowed to do this before you arrive to have everything set up for your paddle You will put in here and follow the waterway towards Ballyconnell. Upon entering Garadice Lough there are two options hug the left hand shoreline or continue directly through the middle of the Lough passing to the left hand side of Church Island (if you are comfortable doing so). From Church Island take a straight line for the outermost left hand corner of Garadice Park and from here veer slightly right and follow the navigational markers to the support point at Haughton s Shore. At the exit of Garadice Lough your support crew will be waiting at Haughtons Shore There is no need to pull into the slipway at Haughtons Shore you can interact with your support crew along the canal and punch at the dibber on the canal bank. Then you can set off on the second part of the paddle towards Ballyconnell. This section of the
paddle is straightforward as you pass through three small Loughs before continuing along the Woodford River to the next Transition in Ballyconnell. Continue straight through the crossroads and follow along this road in the direction of Derrylin. Once at the roundabout in Derrylin take an immediate right, then immediate left in the direction of Lisnaskea. From Lisnaskea the route is as follows:- Lisnaskea outskirts of Maguiresbridge Fivemiletown Clogher Augher Aughnacloy Caledon Armagh Newry Warrenpoint Rostrevor Kilbroney Park Cycle / Run Transition. Once again the road is of good quality and you should respect other road users and allow them to pass by on narrow stretches. AS THIS CYCLING SECTION WILL BE IN THE HOURS OF DARKNESS FOR NON-STOP TEAMS YOUR SUPPORT CREW MUST DRIVE NO LESS THAN 50 METERS BEHIND YOU AT ALL TIMES WITH HAZARD LIGHTS FLASHING ON THEIR VEHICLE. At Leitrim Lodge follow Sandbank Road for 2km and turn right up track across from Sandbank Road Car Park. At the next gate turn left and follow Mourne Way signs across Spelga Footbridge and then follow road up to Spelga Dam Car Park where your support is located. Continue on Road and take a left at the junction above Spelga Car Park. Follow road for another 2km and take right over stile (Mourne Way Route). Follow Mourne Way to Trassey Track gate. After punching turn right and
follow Trassey track up to the windy gap stile. Climb over the stile and turn right onto the Brandy Pad and follow it to the col between Slieve Commedagh and Slieve Donard. From this point (28.6km) you need to turn right and ascend to the summit of Slieve Donard along the wall. Once you punch at the summit you will descend along the wall (the same way you went to the summit) back to the stile at the col and from here follow Glen River path all the way down to the car park. Once in the car park turn right, cross the road and onto the boardwalk / promenade. Once on the boardwalk turn left and continue until along it you see the finish before the 26 Extreme Arch just before the Newcastle Centre THE END! You will leave the Car Park, turn right and follow the road to the crossroads in the centre of Ballyconnell Village. Continue straight through the crossroads and follow along this road in the direction of Derrylin. Once at the roundabout in Derrylin take an immediate right, then immediate left in the direction of Lisnaskea. Follow this road until you see the sign for the Share Centre and turn into this road. The Day 1 finish is located on the right hand side 150 meters down this road. There are no support points along this route as it is only 17km. Overnight Stop Share Holiday Village Latitude: 54.211954 Longitude: -7.4746513 Included in your entry are the following a) Overnight Camping for all participants and support crew. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN CAMPING EQUIPMENT (TENTS, SLEEPING BAGS ETC). There may be bedded accommodation available in the Share Centre and you should contact them directly if you wish to avail of a bed for the night. Any additional accommodation booked is payable by the teams and not the responsibility of 26 Extreme. b) A three course hot meal for all participants and support crews at the Share Centre. Event organisers will also be at this dinner and any questions can be directed at them. It will also serve as the Day 1 Results

The Sportive Riders will be present at this dinner also. a c) Due to the early start on Day 2 Breakfast on the Morning of Day 2 IS NOT INCLUDED. Coast to Coast - Day 2 Event Start Time Day 2 will be a staggered start with the slowest teams on Day 1 off first, in five minute intervals. The latest time that a team will leave the Share Holiday Village will be 7.30am. With this in mind the first teams will be leaving the Share Holiday Village at approximately 6.00am 6.30am. Day 2 Day 2 of the 26 Extreme Coast to Coast will start from where you finished off the previous day - at the Share Holiday Village. Once again the road is of good quality and you should respect other road users and allow them to pass by on narrow stretches. There is a contra-flow in operation on the A2/Shore Road, between Warrenpoint and Rostrevor. We urge all cyclists to abide by the temporary traffic light system in place, and to wait their turn at this section. Cycle - Support Your support points along the cycle will be at the following locations: Support 1 Latitude: 54.351129 Longitude: -6.8373156 Caledon Village, Co Tyrone - Support vehicles should park on the side of the main street in Caledon. Please do not restrict the flow of traffic. This is at the halfway point on the cycle. Support 2 (optional) Latitude: 54.301300 Longitude: -6.5202570 400m past the entrance to Gosford Forest Park, Markethill There is a small lay by here and support vehicles should pull into this car park. This is 87km into the final cycle. NOTE: - There is a contraflow in operation on the Shore Road (A2) in Warrenpoint manned by traffic lights. We urge cyclists to abide by the temporary lights in place and to wait in turn with the traffic.

Downs Road Car Park, Newcastle, Co Down. There will be a lot of reserved parking spaces in Newcastle on Sunday for spectators and support crews. Additional notes for both events: 1) Check the weather if it is cold dress appropriately. Hypothermia is bad, and we d love to avoid it entirely! 2) TRACKERS ARE MANDATORY and must be handled as per the information sheets given out. It is your responsibility to ensure your tracker is handled accordingly, it is as crucial to the event as the timing chip. 3) Share Centre may have some beds left. Give them a call on +44 28 677 22122 to reserve a room if you need one. If you have reserved a room and need breakfast please ring the Share Centre to advise them of this. 4) Dinner will be served for all participants and support crews at 7.30pm on Saturday evening in the Share Centre. (Soup & Roll, Veggie Lasagne, Chicken Curry & Rice, Beef Stroganoff & Potatoes, Dessert, Tea & Coffee with vegetarian options for those who have requested). 5) The briefing for Day 2 on 2-Day Event will be at 8.30pm, just after dinner. 6) Bar at Share Centre will be open from about 9.00pm for two hours should anyone want a pint. 7) Leisure Centre will be open in Share Centre until 9.30pm swimming pool, steam room, sauna etc fee payable on the door for entry - 5.00 Maps The start run does not need a map you will run along the beach to a 26 Extreme feather flag then turn and run back to the transition area. We will NOT be supplying maps of the cycle sections as all the directions (roads, villages etc) are contained on your route card. All major junctions are also marked with YELLOW arrows. For the paddling section we will be supplying ONE waterproof map for each team / solo showing the majority of the paddle. The sections omitted from this map are two short sections of river where you will have no navigational difficulty anyway. Timing System We will have an electronic Timing System in place at the event. At various points identified on your route card we will electronic punches where you will be required to DIB. This will record your times and split times along the route. You will also have to DIB at the finish line on both days to record your overall time for that day. FAILURE TO DIB AT THE POINTS WILL RESULT IN TIME PENALTIES. Event Finish Newcastle Centre, Newcastle promenade this is a change from last year, but offers indoor facilities for participants, and we thank Newry, Mourne and Down Council for their support both at the Newcastle Centre and the Cloughmor Centre in Kilbroney Park. Medic Cover We will have Two Paramedics roving along the route on both days, plus a team of REC2 First Aiders on the course, and then covering the mountain. A number is on the route card and if you are in need of support please do not hesitate to contact them. Don t contact them if you need a plaster put on though your support crew can do that! Please reserve the medics for emergencies only. The marshal crew along the way will have plenty of blister plasters if you run out!
Accommodation For those of you still looking for accommodation in Enniscrone on Friday night good luck! Ennsicrone is packed that weekend, but try B&Bs in Ballina.
