Through five games the Tigers are -1 and currently ranked 1th in the PD Top. This week marks the first away game for the Tigers as they travel to th ranked Maple s. The Mustangs (-0) and the Tigers have quite a few similarities aside from their hot starts. Like the Tigers the Mustangs are an experienced group as they return of starters this year. Additionally, the Mustangs rely on their guards, most notably onse Hale who is close to the 1,000 point mark and setting the schools all time record for pointers. Many project the Mustangs as favorites to win the LEL and potentially come out of their district this year. If nothing else the Tigers should be well rested coming into tonight s matchup as they ve had a week off since their last game. Easily their longest break of the season. or the Tigers to have sucess tonight they must get back to playing team ball, minimizing mistakes and maintaining high intensity on the defensive end. Inconsistency and turnovers were big time factors in the Tigers past two games. Additionally, the Tigers are still waiting for one more player to step up. At times they have been too reliant on Hill, Smith or Roberts to keep the scoring going. Options include: LeMaro Smith who saw his first action last week, rayson reen and Keith Jackson. Tonight s contest should be highly competitive and very well could go a long way in determining this years LEL champion.
