RULES ELIGIBILITY This competition is conducted under CASSA Rules. Refer to the Canada Artistic Swimming Rulebook for clarification. Any exceptions to the rules will be noted in this package. Technical questions should be directed to the Synchro Saskatchewan Technical Director. CPC is an invitational competition for all athletes who do not attend Canada Artistic Swimming Nationals. Athletes who attend Qualifier may still attend CPC. Exhibition swimmers are not permitted. AGE GROUPS EVENTS Provincial Stream: 8 & U, 10 & U, 11 & 12, 13-15, 16-20, Novice (11 & over first year competitors) Masters: 19 and over AWAD-CD/AWAD-PD Figures, solo, duet, mixed duet, trio, team and combo. Trio/Team an athlete may only swim on either a trio or team, not both, as trio is considered a team under Synchro Saskatchewan rules. Duet an athlete is permitted to swim up one age group in the duet event and must swim figures in their own age group. 16-20 athletes have the following event options Figures Tech Free To enter the Free event, a 16-20 athlete must compete in either figures or tech. Medals are awarded for the following 16-20 events: Tech, Free and Championship (Figures plus Free). Ribbons are awarded for the figure event. 2 / 8
FIGURES INTERESTED CLUBS REGISTRATION DEADLINE REGISTRATION LATE ENTRIES REGISTRATION FEES PAYMENT See figure chart below. All clubs must submit their interest in attending by December 15, 2018. Email Synchro Sask Technical Director at synchro.sk2@sasktel.net with the approximate number of athletes in each age group for figures and the approximate number of solo, duet, trio, team and combo routines in each age group. March 20, 2019. All registration should be submitted using Canada Artistic Swimming online competition registration system. More information will be available at a later date. The club will be charged a fine of $25.00 for each late entry and a fine of $200.00 will be charged for each late club entry. It is the club / coach and/or swimmer s responsibility to pay this fine to the Chief Referee no later than hour prior to the beginning of the competition. Failure to do so shall result in disqualification. Figures will be posted on the Synchro Sask website at www.synchrosask.com. 8 & U figures are determined by Synchro Saskatchewan and Synchro Swim Manitoba. 11 & 12 figures are drawn only from groups 2 & 3 to align with the Novice figures used in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. For AWAD-CD/AWAD-PD times, see CASSA APPENDIX G. At CPC, there is an allowance of plus 15 seconds for Provincial Stream, Masters and AWAD. Any routine exceeding the time shown plus the 15 seconds will incur a penalty. MUSIC DEADLINE All music for routines must in digital format. Files must be sent to the Synchro Saskatchewan Technical Director synchro.sk2@sasktel.net by: March 20, 2019. MUSIC FORMAT There must be one digital file for each registered routine in the following format: MP3 files with a.mp3 file extension It is suggested there is a 3-5 second lead from play until the music starts. In the event of a music failure during competition, the club must immediately provide a backup in the required format. Failure to provide a working copy will result in a $25.00 fine. If the fine is not paid immediately after the event, a one-point penalty will be applied. The Chief Referee shall instruct the scorer to deduct the penalty. MUSIC FINES A fine of $25.00 per routine will be assessed for each late submission. A fine of $25.00 per routine will be assessed for each file submitted in the wrong digital format. ROUTINE ELEMENTS All routines will be monitored for required elements as determined by the Canada Artistic Swimming Rulebook. SCHEDULE Spacing takes place on Thursday May 2, 2019. Competition starts Friday May 3, 2019. Competition concludes on the afternoon of Sunday May 5, 2019. COMMUNICATION All information packages will be available on Synchro Saskatchewan s website www.synchrosask.com/competitions/canadian-prairie-championship. Other information packages and correspondence as required will be sent by email only. FACILITY A facility schematic is available upon request. Clubs are responsible to ensure the locker rooms and pool deck are clean after use. GELLING Athletes are encouraged to gel before coming to the pool.
