Notes to Officials, Team Managers and Competitors 1. The Chester Schools Athletics Association accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal equipment, or injury to competitors or spectators. Risk assessments are provided by the organisation for all schools to follow. School representatives sign this on arrival. 2. Valuables should be left with members of staff of individual schools. 3. Changing accommodation will not be provided. Athletes should arrive changed or use school transport for changing. Toilet facilities are available. 4. There is no parking for coaches. Coaches should drop off on the main road outside the stadium and return at the finishing time. 5. Competitors should arrive by 12.00 pm. The Championships will start promptly at 12.30 pm. 5. The programme has been based on entry numbers submitted by schools. The Championships will run to an exact time schedule. If entrants do not appear at the correct time, the whips will reduce heat/final numbers accordingly and run straight finals if necessary. 6. Girls track events/boys field events will take place simultaneously after the hurdles and relay heats. A school number must be worn on the front of the athletics vest for all events, including relay races. 7. All competitors should be aware of the location of their event. 8. Spectators must remain behind the perimeter fence unless actually competing in an event. 9. All necessary equipment for field events will be available at the appropriate throwing and jumping areas. Timekeepers are asked to supply their own digital stopwatches and please bring own tape measures for the field events. 10. All jumps and throws should be THREE attempts. High Jump is SEVEN attempts. 11. Certificates will be awarded to the first three places in each event. Individual schools will be responsible for completing the certificates which are available to download from the association website. 12. Some light refreshments will be available to purchase at a kiosk below the Main Stand. 13. Please place all litter in the bins and bin bags provided. Please ensure your team area is clear on departure using the bin bag provided and the bins. 14. A competitor requiring First Aid should inform his/her team manager, before consulting the representatives from The Event s Medical Team.
Order of Events Please note: 1. Track heats [100m, 200m, 300m, Hurdles, Relays]: 8 to qualify for the final - 1st in Heats and fastest losers. Qualifiers for the Finals will be listed on a board below the Main Stand, and announced over the Public Address. 2. Track events not requiring Heats will be run as straight Finals. 3. A maximum of 45 minutes has been allowed for each Field event. Field event judges are requested to adhere to this time schedule. 4. Competitors must wear the appropriate school number pinned to the front of the athletics vest. Refer to the arena plan for the location of field event throwing and jumping areas. 3. SAFETY: Please take every precaution in and around throwing areas. Do not cross the central area of the arena.
