A steward may at any time direct the vet to take a sample of blood, saliva or urine from an exhibit for testing. Drug testing may be performed on any horse/pony or stallion HORSE STALLS: Applications for horse stalls will close on Sunday 12th May 2019. A completed Application Form (Forms available on the Longreach Show webpage, and back of Show Schedule) accompanied by a $10 fee per stall must be supplied for Stall Application acceptance, either by post or email to the Horse Secretary. See Horse Stall Application Forms for postal and email addresses and Bank details. Stall allocations will be posted on the notice board at D BLOCK, on Thursday 16th May 2019 by 8.00am. Do not change your allocated horse stall or take one not allocated to you unless you have spoken to the Horse Stalls Steward Jo Thomas Ph. 4658 1879 or 0427581879 ALL CAMPS AND STABLES are to be left clean and free of rubbish and manure. If left in an untidy manner, The Committee reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee. No electric fences are permitted in the camping area. There are several large yards and electric fences may only be used in these yards. NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING AROUND ARENA FENCE as per designated area. DOGS are to be kept on a lead at all times. When tied to campsite, lead is not to exceed one meter in length. A sign is to be placed to indicate the presence of a dog. The Longreach Show Society will not be held responsible for any injury or damage caused by or to any animal kept on the grounds. TICKET SYSTEM ENTRY: Nomination Tickets will be available from the Recording Tent/Jump Shed from 7am Friday and from 7am Saturday. A refund may be claimed on unused, clean tickets. Competitors must produce a completed nomination Ticket to the Ring Steward at the beginning of each Class. All competitors and supporters are required to pay the normal Show Entrance fee of $10 or be Members of the Society. BIOSECURITY, RIDER INDEMNITY & MOVEMENT RECORD: Queensland Government Biosecurity requires that these details must be in hard copy for the Show Society to hold for a period of time. These forms, complete with Registered PIC numbers are to be left with the Ticket Steward when purchasing Nomination Tickets. The three forms can be downloaded from the Longreach Show website. DRESSAGE ENTRIES: Dressage entries are to be handed to the secretary by COB Thursday 16th May 2019. WORKING HORSE CHALLENGE ENTRIES: All nominations for the working horse challenge to be forwarded to John Arnold. MEASURING: All hacks, Galloway s and ponies must be measured by the Official Measurer. When measuring a hack, galloway or pony, an allowance of three eighths of an inch (3/8 ) is to be made for shoes. BREED/ASSOCIATION REGISTRATION CERTIFICATES must be available for inspection upon entering applicable Classes. ONE HORSE ONE RIDER applies across all classes regardless of ring or section. RING 1: Open Hack Ring: Children over the age of 12 can compete in the open ring. RING 2: Children s Ring: all horses are to be ridden by a child 17 years and under. RING 3: Jump Ring: PONIES: 14 hands and under GALLOWAYS: Over 14 hands and not exceeding 15 hands HACKS: Over 15 hands MAIDEN: Has not won an event at an affiliated Agricultural Show. NOVICE: Has won a Maiden Hack and will remain a NOVICE until winning an Open Championship at an affiliated Agricultural Show. LOCAL/REGIONAL: Rider must be a resident of the Longreach Regional Shire for a minimum of 6 months. DISTRICT: Within Longreach, Barcaldine, Winton, Barcoo and Blackall Shire. PLEASURE: Classes must be ridden in a plain snaffle, no spurs, whips or dropped nose bands. STALLIONS: Stallions are not eligible to be entered in Hack or Rider Classes. Stallions in Led Classes are to be handled by a competent person 18 years and over. DUAL USE OF JUDGING RINGS: Stewards/Judges reserve the right to direct overflow classes from one ring to another if a back log occurs in one ring. CHAMPIONSHIP WINNERS: It would be appreciated if all competitors, in particular all prize winners, participate in the Grand Parade. RULES FOR JUMPING EVENTS: All jumping events will be run under EA Rules. Any deviations will be made clear by the Judge at the commencement of the event. All jumping events to be "one horse, one rider" across all classes. Juniors riders are eligible to compete in all classes. Program may change at the Judge's discretion. : Prize Money, voucher or trophy is given for all Classes, except Championship Classes. No prize money for FIRST place where a trophy has been presented but there is money for placings Champions will receive a Sash and a Trophy. Prize Money may be awarded instead of a Trophy. RIBBONS: Ribbons will be awarded to 3rd place, except in Championship Classes, where sashes will be awarded to the Champion and Reserve Champions ALL COMPETITORS IN LED, HACK & RIDER CLASSES WILL COMPETE AND BE JUDGED UNDER QCAS RULES SHOWJUMPING AND DRESSAGE WILL COMPETE AND BE JUDGED UNDER EA RULES (EXCEPT PRELIM AND CLASS 127 JUNIOR AM5) ALL COMPETITORS MUST WEAR EA APPROVED HELMETS & FOOTWEAR WHILST COMPETING JUDGES ARE CHOSEN AT THE DISCRETION OF THE COMMITTEE.
