WHAT 2019 HOLDS IN STORE AFFILIATED The Hickstead shows on 29 March, 13 April, 26 April, 4 and 25 May are qualifiers for the 2019 semi-finals ( to be held on 1 and 2 June 2019). Later shows will count towards the 2020 series. UNAFFILIATED COMPETITION RULES AND CONDITION NB: it is the responsibility of competitors to ensure that they have up to date tests. * the SE Ch ships( 19/20 May) isnot a qualifying round for the DatHCh ship. ** to include the 15+ Championships (qualifying forms can be obtained from the Secretariat). *** Juniors class 1, 2, 3 and class 4 (under 14) sections for juniors who have not competed at higher levels or in affiliated competitions: complete box on entry form. Eventingtests: if you would like to ride an eventingdressage test at any show please contact the office before the closing date for the show Closing date for entries:10 days prior to day of competition. DatHChampionships entries close 2 September 2018.. Please submit your entries as early as possible. Late entries must pay an extra 5 and will only be accepted if there is space in the class. The organisers reserve the right to limit the number of entries in each class to fit the time available. All entries are made in full knowledge and acceptance of these rules. Eligibility es 1 & 2: open to non-professional riders (ie those who do not make their living from riding or teaching riding). However, we also welcome professionals at these levels but would ask them to use their discretion and enter HC. We also ask Gold riders to enter HC at Prelim es 3 to 9 are open to all rider/horse combinations. substitution: if your chosen class is full the organisers reserve the right to move your entry to another class at the same level. Rosettes: to 6 th place. Prizes: in kind. DRESSAGE AT HICKSTEAD UNAFFILIATED CHAMPIONSHIPS - QUALIFYING RULES By horse/rider combination in the four championship classes. Horse/rider combinations may qualify at more than one level NB: combinations which have qualified for the British Dressage Regional Championships at the relevant level are not eligible. Qualifying points A competitor must have won 10 or more points in the Dressage at Hickstead unaffiliated series to qualify for a place in the championships. Points are awarded as follows: 10 for 1 st place, 9 for 2 nd and so on down to 1 for 10 th place at each level. Updated points system can be found on the DatH website. Amendment of Qualifying Level The organisers reserve the right at their discretion to amend the points qualifying limit to meet the requirements of available spaces and times. 15+ Horse Competition Any horse over the age of 15 is eligible for this series. SAFETY, PARKING, TIDINESS & DOGS Competitors are solely responsible for the welfare of their horses and must take all proper care to ensure their safety and the safety of all others (whether persons or horses) while at the Dressage at Hickstead events. Horses should not be left unattended while tied up to lorries or trailers, and all proper steps should be taken to prevent them from escaping during the saddling and unsaddling processes. Competitors are asked to park thoughtfully and carefully in accordance with notices. Please pick up and remove all horse and dog droppings and litter. Dogs must be kept on leads under control at all times. DISCLAIMER Neither Dressage at Hickstead, the organisers, the Secretary, the All England Jumping Course or their appointed servants accept any liability whatsoever for any accident, damage, theft or illness to horses, riders, grooms, property or any party or person. All owners and competitors are personally responsible for damages to third parties caused by themselves, their employees, their agents, or their horses/ponies. They are therefore strongly advised to take out third party insurance providing full coverage for participation in equestrian events. Club Dressage At Hickstead Club Dressage at Hickstead is the only supporters club devoted specifically to the major Dressage events at Hickstead. Introduced shortly after Dane Rawlins and his team first put Dressage at Hickstead on the map, Club DatH (formerly Friends) has given dressage supporters fantastic value for money. Club Dressage at Hickstead is run by volunteers on behalf of Dressage at Hickstead 2019 membership entitles members access to such facilities as may be provided by the Dressage at Hickstead organisers for Club members at the Dressage at Hickstead venue including 2019 Premier League and International Shows.
