OKLAHOMA STATE COGGINS INFORMATION CHECK YOUR COGGINS NOW: The Coggins must be drawn within six (6) months of the sale date. The horse s Registered Name, Age, Color and Markings MUST BE on the Coggins & MUST MATCH the Registration Certificate or catalog information. ORIGINAL CURRENT NEGATIVE COGGINS IS REQUIRED BY STATE LAW. ALL HORSES MUST HAVE AN ORIGINAL NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST. Auctions are no longer able to accept horses with copied or faxed Coggins tests. Additionally, sale companies are no longer allowed to draw tests for a horse at the sale. PLEASE NOTE: Seller must comply with any request of a State Veterinarian s Representive present. If you do not have a Original Negative Coggins or Any of the information is NOT Correct, the horse will be WITHDRAWN from the sale & REMOVED from the sale grounds. The seller will be charged all applicable fees. HEALTH CERTIFICATES HEALTH CERTIFICATES dated within 30 days of the sale date are required FOR ALL HORSES arriving to the sale. IMPORTANT FACTS FOR SELLERS SALE OFFICE will open at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, November 16th. Sale staff onsite from November 6. : YOUR PAPERWORK MUST BE IN ORDER: All Registration Certificates, Signed Transfers, Breeder s Certificates, official HYPP test results, Parentage Verification status, Original Coggins and Health papers must be in the Sale Office files AT LEAST 2 Hours Prior to Sale Session. If paperwork is not complete, the horse WILL NOT BE SOLD and appropriate fees will be charged to the consignor. A STATEMENT OF VETERINARY PALPATION of bred mares stating that they are: 1) In Foal 2) Open, or 3) Bred too recently to determine pregnancy. If a veterinary palpation certificate is not furnished AT LEAST 2 HOURS PRIOR TO SESSION, mare will be sold as bred only. STALLS AND HIP NUMBERS are assigned by the sale company and CANNOT BE CHANGED by the consignor. HIP NUMBERS: You will receive the Hip numbers for your horses when you turn your paperwork in to the Sale Office. DO NOT REMOVE HIP NUMBERS from horses once they have been applied. ACTING AGENTS: Agents are responsible to verify that owners get the AUTHORIZATION OF AGENT Form completed and NOTARIZED and mailed to us or that they give it to you to bring to the sale. The Authorization of Agent Form MUST BE NOTARIZED. A NEW HALTER must be furnished by the consignor and left on each horse sold. HORSES IN THIS SALE HAVE BEEN HIP NUMBERED alphabetically by the first dam s name. Any variation in this sequence is due to World Show exhibitor schedule conflicts, etc. CATALOG UPDATES must be turned in to the Sale Office TWO HOURS prior to the session in which they sell. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCURACY OF YOUR HORSE S CATALOG PAGE. Please verify engagements, sire, dam, HYPP test results, etc. and report any errors, in writing, to the sale company immediately. REPRESENTATION OF YOUR HORSE For any sales transaction of a horse in the Auction, the Seller is expected to properly and honestly represent their horse. This applies to Pre-Auction purchases as well as those made through the Sale Ring. Condition 14 of the Consignor s Contract states: I agree to notify Professional Auction Services, Inc. in writing, of any irregularities, blemishes, unsoundnesses or defects of any kind, including altered tails, prior to the sale... The following conditions MUST BE DISCLOSED in the sale catalog or by announcement before the horse is sold: cribbers, weavers, horses unsound of eyes or wind, cryptorchid, monorchid, ridgling, parrot mouth or monkey mouth condition, has had major surgery or a serious illness, and horses that have been foundered prior to this sale, nerved or have a lameness due to navicular disorder, osteoarthritis of a joint or other bone abnormality, or a neurological disorder, including but not limited to, EPM or wobbles,... I further agree that said animal is not suffering from any contagious or infectious diseases and has not been given drugs to alter soundness or temperament. I agree that I must disclose if any drug or medication is being administered to this horse for the maintenence of any condition. ALL TRANSACTIONS MUST BE MADE THROUGH THE SALE OFFICE! If you sell a horse and do not take the transaction through the Sale Office you will not be protected by the Conditions Of Sale and you will not have the asistance of the Sale Company in case there are any problems. You are also trying to avoid paying the Sale Company a commission earned by providing you a buyer. Sale security will be checking horses as they leave. We will check with AQHA to see if the horse has been transferred. If it has, we will take the necessary action to collect our commission, and the buyer and the seller may be banned from our sales.
SALE DEMONSTRATIONS & VIDEOS PERFORMANCE DEMONSTRATION Barn 3 at 9:00 AM WEDNESDAY, November 17th. In the Performance Demonstration, classes will run to simulate a show. The following classes will be offered Western Pleasure - Horses will show on the rail at a walk, jog and lope. Hunter Under Saddle - Horses will show on the rail at a walk, trot and canter. Following the rail work, horses will show over fences. Green Broke Horses and Prospects - Horses will show on the rail at a walk and jog both directions of the ring. As a horse is introduced it may move to the center of the arena and lope a circle or two. Individual Performance Events - For Reining Horses, Team Penners, Western Riding Horses, etc. Each horse will be allowed 2 minutes to work. Two horses at a time will work and each horse will use half of the arena. Longe Line Demonstration - SIX (6) yearlings will work at one time. The group will be given 2 minutes and each prospect will be introduced individually. PERFORMANCE DEMONSTRATION SCHEDULES 1) Western Pleasure 2) Hunter Under Saddle (& Horses over Fences) 3) Green Broke Horses and Prospects 4) Individual Work (Reining, Horsemanship, Equitation, etc.) 5) Longe Line Classes will be repeated as necessary. World Salebration Preview will follow the Performance Demonstration. NEW!! ROPE HORSE PREVIEW Will be held in the Jim Norick Arena (Coliseum) on Wednesday, November 17 Immediately following the Sr. Heeling Preliminaries IN THE SALE RING You may present your horse in the Sale Ring, IF you are dressed like you would be to show at the World Show, with western hat, long sleeved shirt, tie, etc. You may ride your horse in the Sale Ring, IF you have nice tack on your horse. You want your horse to look like it is ready to show at the World Show. If you, or your horse, are not dressed appropriately, a member of our staff will handle your horse. We recommend that you let our staff handle the horse in the Sale Ring and you stay with your Consignor Representative by the auction box. It is more important that you have good communication with the auctioneer, than it is to lead your horse. Standard Size DVD or VHS VIDEO A video of your horse can be shown while it is in the Sale Ring. Each horse MUST have a separate video. The video MUST be 4 minutes or less. Most horses will be in the Sale Ring for 2 to 3 minutes, so be sure you get the important presentation early in the video. The video MUST be set to start at the right place when we get it. We will not be able to search or rewind while the horse is selling. You MUST mark the video on the edge with the HORSE S HIP # & NAME. Videos MUST BE TURNED INTO THE SALE OFFICE AT LEAST 2 HOURS BEFORE THE START OF THE SALE, on the day the horse sells.
