Cottonwood Palo Verde at Sun Lakes, HOA #2 25219 S. EJ Robson Blvd. Sun Lakes, AZ 85248 480-895-3550 www.cottonwoodpaloverde.com INSIDE THIS ISSUE 1 Noteworthy News & Notices 2 Odds & Ends / Mark Your Calendar 3 Golf 4 Recreation 5 Restaurant Menus/ Events 6 Board & Committee Meetings, Contact Information FOR MORE INFORMATION ON ANY OF THESE TOPICS PLEASE CHECK THE CWPV WEBSITE. NOTEWORTHY NEWS AND NOTICES. TWO BOARD OPENINGS - TWO CANDIDATES - NO BOARD ELECTION The Board terms of Roger Beagle and Bill Greer expire at the end of March 2019. The Election Committee advertised for candidates to fill these positions and had application packets in Homeowner Services since January 28. The cut-off for candidates to return these applications was 4:00pm on February 11. At that time, only two candidates had returned an application, along with the required 50 homeowner signatures on a petition for candidacy. The signatures on the petitions were validated by the Election Committee on February 12. The candidates were Roger Beagle and Bud Jenssen. Therefore, in accordance with Article 6.3.4 of our Bylaws, no election will be held. Congratulations to: ROGER BEAGLE BUD JENSSEN Our new Board Members will take their seats at the Annual Board meeting on Wednesday, March 27 TH. Management looks forward to working with our new Board members! EXTRA PATROL EXTRA ID CARD CHECKS It is that time of the year, called "Spring Break", when our Families come to visit and enjoy the Arizona sunshine. It is also the time of year your Patrol will be working extra hours to insure the Safety of all our residents and guests. During the next few weeks you will notice extra Homeowner Card ID checks in the Fitness Center and the Billiards Room. Remember, a person MUST BE 19 YEARS OF AGE to use either of these facilities. Patrol will also be making extra ID checks at ALL OTHER facilities, especially the pools. Please remember that kids can swim anytime in the Cottonwood Children s Pool. It is also very important to remember that a person driving a golf cart must have a valid driver s license. PLEASE, do not let the children stand in the back of your cart. They are much more valuable than a set of golf clubs. Be proud of where you live and show that ID card with pride. Here s wishing you and your family a Safe Spring Break! Dick Gothier, Patrol Manager FITNESS ACTIVITY CENTER UPDATE Due to last week s soggy weather and the resulting muddy site, all that was accomplished was the spa inspection and approval of the application of ShotCrete, which was done early this week. The installation of an additional drywell has begun and the trench for the SRP power line should be done today. The steel building plans have been approved by our architect and the columns for the slab are scheduled for delivery week after next. Please remember that this is a HARD HAT area and limited to authorized personnel only. Keep up with the progress by checking out the website or by visiting Homeowner Services to view the photo journal. FAC Committee VOLUNTEER FOR A COMMITTEE The following Committees are looking for Volunteers: Recreation Safety, Security, and Access Serving on a Committee is a great way to give back to your community and have a voice in how our community's quality of life is maintained. Applications can be found on the CWPV website or at Homeowner Services.

The Flyer Odds & Ends / Mark Your Calendar Page 2 ODDS & ENDS CWPV POOL RULES & REMINDERS I realize we all want to show our grandkids a good time when they come to visit. We have a Children's Pool located at the West end of Cottonwood's tennis courts (7am-11pm). Only children under the age of 16 are permitted. Infants & toddlers must wear disposable diapers designed for swimming. The Adult pools are open to children 10 and over from 12pm (noon) through 2pm ONLY. No one under the age of 10 is permitted in these pools or pool areas at any time. No one under the age of 16 is allowed in the Lap Pool or Jacuzzi. There are no life guards on duty. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Dick Gothier, Patrol Manager THESE PATHS ARE MADE FOR GOLFERS Every path on and around the golf courses are made for golfers to get around. At no time are these paths to be used by non-golfers for walking, jogging, bike riding, dog walking, etc. Anyone caught violating these rules will be stopped and asked to leave. The rules apply to everyone who is not golfing and will be enforced 24 hours a day-7 days a week. Yes, this means no walking at night. There are walking paths around the Five Lakes in Cottonwood for walking and exercise. Please enjoy our amenities and use them as intended.
