IT S S A NEW GAME! This past year, it definitely was a new game for Billiken Athletics. Highlighted by the opening of Chaifetz Arena, Billiken Athletics experienced another great year of academics and athletics.
Here are some of the highlights: Men s s Soccer Advanced to the 2 nd round of the NCAA Tournament Calum Angus was named an All-American American Had three players drafted by the MLS Women s s Soccer Lauren Olson was named Academic All-American American Volleyball Defeated #3 Stanford in front of a record crowd Went undefeated in conference play Won the A-10 A Volleyball tournament Won the program s s first NCAA game Advanced to the Second round of the NCAA tournament Sammi McLoud was named an All-American American
Highlights Continued Women s s Basketball Theresa Lisch set the new single season scoring record for women s s basketball with 574 points. Theresa Lisch was named first team Academic All-American American and first team all A-10 A Conference Player Set a new attendance record for women s s basketball by drawing 2018 fans when they took on #5 ranked Oklahoma. Men s s Basketball Posted a 15-3 3 record at Chaifetz Arena Kevin Lisch was named third team Academic All-American American and third team all A-10 A Conference Player Tommy Liddell III is the only SLU player to rank in the top ten in points, rebounds and assists. Kwamain Mitchell was named to the first team all A-10 A rookie team. Defeated Boston College and #25 ranked Dayton in front of sellout crowds.

Game Sponsorship Corporate Express A Staples Company received a game sponsorship on February 4, 2009 when the Billikens played Duquesne. Corporate Express A Staples Company also received logo impressions on all game programs as well as a game ball presentation and access to a party suite.
In Game Feature Corporate Express A Staples Company received an in game feature during five (5) men s s home games. The in game feature was known as the Corporate Express A Staples Company Employee Spotlight Award.. The award recognized employees throughout the University who showed support for Billiken Athletics.
PA Announcements Corporate Express A Staples Company received a minimum of 2 PA announcements during all men s s and women s s home basketball games. Each PA announcement was accompanied with a logo flash on the scoreboards.
