Box Tops for Education The PE department is collecting Box Tops for Education. Please turn them in to your PE/Health teacher.
Ronald McDonald House Charities Grissom is once again collecting pop tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities! The pop tabs are recycled and sold for scrap metal. Last year, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana raised more than $40,000 from this program.
Student Appreciation Week This week is Student Appreciation Week! The staff has many fun surprises in store for our students! GMS Patriots bracelets will be on sale Monday through Thursday during lunches for $1. You can purchase one for yourself or send one to a friend along with a note of appreciation. All proceeds will be donated to the Cookie Jar Foundation.
Grissom Middle School is selling spirit bracelets for our Student Appreciation Week!! Bracelets are $1 and can be bought during lunch. Send a bracelet with a message to a friend and we will deliver them during TIP :) Bracelets go on sale April 30th Bracelets will say: GMS on the front Patriot Pride on the back ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE KIRBY EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION (COOKIE JAR)
Patriot Derby On Friday, May 4 th, every Grissom student will be running the Patriot Derby during PE. You will not be changing into your PE uniform, so please wear appropriate running clothes and shoes to school! Be sure to bring a water bottle for the run!
School Tool Box Save time and avoid the crowds in August by purchasing your school supplies online! You may purchase a pre-packaged box of school supplies containing the items needed for each grade. Girls Soccer The girls defeated Simmons yesterday!! Goals were scored by Bella Lemus, Ary Ennis, Ava Sherry, Maria Perez, Elizabeth Kooyenga, Jessica Bedell and Sam Fratto. Assists were made by Bella Lemus, Ary Ennis, Sam Fratto and Allison Stanton. Way to go, girls! Good luck today as you face Liberty!

Spring Band Concerts Come and hear our award-winning bands at the Concert and Symphonic Band Concert on Wednesday at 7:30 pm at Prairie View! The Cadet Jazz Band concert will be held on Wednesday, May 9 th at Grissom. The concert begins at 7:30 pm.

Crayola ColorCycle We are collecting used markers (any brand!) to be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more! Water Bottle Filling Station Challenge Last year Grissom Patriots saved over 6,600 plastic water bottles from ending up in landfills by using the water bottle filling stations throughout the building. Please remember to use these instead of plastic bottles. So far this year, we ve saved 9,074 bottles from landfills! The image part w the file.
