This may damage the Triton Mount or stock, and is NOT covered under the manufacturer's warranty. INCORRECT Note: Once you have aligned the Triton Mount correctly and fastened the supplied torx or allen screw, you may notice a small gap on either side of the Triton Mount. Do not try to close this gap. It is engineered to insure the Triton Dovetail Mount binds together to accept the full recoil of the shotgun. The supplied torx or allen screw simply prevents the two pieces from sliding apart. Over tightening may strip the threads, and in some extreme cases may cause the screw head to shear off, which is NOT covered under the manufacturer's warranty. CORRECT NOTE: Tighten until snug, then tighten / turn more. Over tightening may strip the threads and in extreme cases cause the screw head to shear off, which is NOT covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Over torquing of the screw can cause bending in the mount. If you encounter this bending the mount has been damaged and may not be used. As a precaution, after each use please be sure to check the engagement of the mount. 70.00.0 5
