October is almost here and your newly elected officers will take office. The Club is in the best financial and finical shape ever. With addition of ninety four acres this year the Club has room for expansion. The Lower Ranges are open to everyone and you can drive down there. If the Upper Ranges are ever crowded please use the lower. I hope the Club will continue to grow stronger. Please come out and volunteer for one of our special events. The Club will be better and so will you. We will have the largest Pistol match ever held at the Club September 19th. We need all the help we can get. Thank you for letting me serve as your President. It truly has been an honor. You may contact me about Club matters at (252) 717-4010. Thank you for your continuing support. 2015 Election Results President: Vice President: Secretary: Treasurer: BOD (2018): BOD (2018): Lee Grubb Joe McMillan Daniel Martin Rick Brixon Steve Cerutti Joe Cavenaugh Workday The workday will be held on Saturday, September 12 th at 8:00 AM. TOPSHOT: Literacy Volunteers of Pitt County As most of you know PCWC is sponsoring a pistol match on September 19, 2015 to benefit the Literacy Volunteers of Pitt County. Whether you normally shoot in our pistol matches or not, this is a great opportunity to help a local organization. You can help by either shooting in the match or by volunteering to help as support crew for the match. We will need a number of volunteers on September 19, 2015. Help will be needed with the registration of match participants from 8-10am and with food service form 11:30a till 2:00p. For additional information please contact Rich Dean (Match Director) at rickeyd45@gmail.com or (252) 933-3344. Friends of the NRA Banquet Announcing the 2015 East Carolina Friends of NRA Banquet and Auction. This annual event will be held at 6pm, Thursday, September 24, at Rock Springs Center. 100% of the net proceeds from these FNRA events fund shooting sports and related projects. PCWC has been the recipient of FNRA Grants, including one to help complete the Bill Brown Classroom building, and others to fund NRA Women on Target Programs. Locally, funding goes to the Middle and High School Youth Hunter Ed Competition Teams. Currently, there are approximately 120 youth in the county participating in this program, which is run by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission. PCWC annually sends 5-7 Volunteer Hunter Safety Instructors to the District and State Tournaments to assist with scoring the events, and PCWC has hosted the District 2 Tournament three times, with March 2015 being the most recent event, held on PCWC grounds. The Friends of NRA is a 501-C3 Foundation, so all donors of cash, goods or services will receive a receipt for tax use. Ticket pricing: $40 per individual adult; $70 per couple; $25 for youth 18 and under. All per ticket prices are $5 more, at the door.
