In this instance, 75% of the total entry will be refunded. All dogs MUST be on a leash at all times. $10 one day, $15 duration of your stay please book yard in advance on your entry form. Preference will be given to horses competing at the show. Yards will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. All horses/ponies must be individually penned behind hot tape or otherwise yarded. Tape will be checked for Voltage. Insufficient voltage will result in horses being yarded at owner s expense. Horses may be yarded at the discretion of the committee. SEPARATE STALLION YARDS ARE AVAILABLE- Stallions must be securely yarded and/or supervised at all times Horses attending but not competing must pay the ground fees. Camping is at no charge. Shower and toilet facilities are available. Please advise us if you intend to camp so that necessary arrangements can be made. Country Catering will provide hot sandwiches over the lunchtime period over the three days. CLASS DEFINITION & INFORMATION HALTER CLASSES: Appaloosa, Quarter Horse & Paint Horse halter classes will be run in accordance with ApHANZ, AQHA & PHANZ rule books. Horses entered in the App, Paint or QH sections must be registered with their respective associations & owners must be current financial members. Registration papers are to be carried. There will be no pending of registration papers for horses over 2 years of age. If there are six or less halter entries for the show the minimum mandatory events will be held GRADE HORSE: Any breed of horse that is not a registered Quarter Horse, Paint Horse or Appaloosa may enter Grade horse classes. YOUNGSTOCK VERSATILITY: Open to all horses 3 years old and under that have NOT previously been shown under saddle. Will be judged as three separate classes, then points totalled for the overall award. Horses entered in this section cannot enter any ridden classes. Class may be split between Yearling and 2-3 yr olds if there are enough entries. PERFORMANCE CLASSES: Will be run in accordance with NZWRF rule book. JR SADDLERY BEGINNERS SHOWCASE JACKPOT: Will consist of four rounds: Showmanship, Trail, Horsemanship and Walk/Jog. Open to any rider that has not placed 1 st or 2 nd over a class of four more than THREE times in any ridden event in the last five years NO CANTER IN THESE CLASSES. Can ride 2 handed in a snaffle any aged horse. OPEN NZRHA REINING TWO GO ROUNDS NZRHA Sponsored Reining Class. Two rounds. 1 st Go Round Saturday, 2 nd Go Round Sunday. Scores to be totalled to get the overall awards. OBSTACLE TRAIL: For this event only, you may ride two handed in a snaffle on a horse of any age. Safety Helmets are compulsory to be ESNZ approved (red tagged). If riding in a curb, you can momentarily pick up on the second rein for horsemanship (correction) then immediately revert back to one handed. Protective boots for your horse are allowed to be worn. FEATURE TRAIL: Sponsored by JLT Bloodstock. Open event to be ridden to the age of the horse. Jackpot prize money. VERSATILITY CLASS: Sponsored by Stadium Finance. Open event to be ridden to the age of the horse. Jackpot prize money. RANCH RIDING: as per NZWRF/AQHA Rule book Any horse entered in Ranch riding is not eligible for entry to any Western Pleasure class Level 1 WESTERN RIDING: As per AQHA Rule SHW450.1, 2 & 4 (Horses regardless of their age may be ridden one handed in a curb or two handed in a snaffle bit. Horses are eligible to compete if they have not won 25 points or more in western riding classes) CHILDREN S CLASSES: Children may enter lead line or Walk/Jog classes, but not both. Children entering these classes also may not enter any other ridden classes. LEAD LINE - Horses/Ponies must be led by an adult over 18 years of age. A lead rope of at least 2m long must be attached to the shank of the bit or a halter that is under the bridle. Lead Line & walk/jog classes can be English or Western attire, but not a combination of both. AMATEUR /NOVICE AMATEUR: Competitors must hold a current NZWRF Amateur Card which must be carried and shown to the gate steward or a copy sent to the show secretary with entries. NO CARD NO ENTRY. ROOKIE RIDER: Any rider who has not won an open or age division class in any of the three designated rookie classes as at 1st August 1990, or has not earned an accumulation overall of 25 Rookie points in Rookie classes. Those eligible to ride in Rookie classes may ride a horse of any age two handed in a snaffle bit or hackamore but must use one hand if using a curb bit. JUNIOR/SENIOR HORSE: Junior horse to be five years and under, to be ridden in a snaffle bit or hackamore with two hands. Senior Horse to be six years and over and to be ridden in tack according to Rule Q443H of the AQHA Rule Book. JUNIOR/SENIOR YOUTH: Junior Youth 13 years & under, Senior Youth 14 18 years. Age as at 1st August. All youth must wear tagged helmets. ARRIVAL ON GROUNDS: Please complete your arrival/departure date information on your show entry so that grounds, facilities and yards are available for your use when you arrive.

Points will be collated from the CWRA November, CWRA January, Aoraki, Kawatiri, Otago March and CADRAC Shows. 2. Qualifying classes will be decided once each club has drawn up their schedule. Each club s schedule will be forwarded to a nominated convener before it is distributed publicly, so that the qualifying classes for the series can be chosen and included in each schedule. 3. South Island Buckle points updates will be displayed at these shows and on each club s Facebook page. 4. Results will be taken for each horse/rider combination. 5. Any disputes will be settled by an independent Central South Island Buckle Series Points Scrutineer. 8. Any complaints/disputes MUST be lodged within 7 days of the results. All complaints/disputes MUST be in written form and be accompanied by a $25.00 non refundable fee. 9. The South Island Buckle Series ceremony will be held at the completion of the CADRAC show.
