Your 2009-10 Red Wings regular-season credential (with your photograph) will remain valid for the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs at Joe Louis Arena. If you did not receive a regular-season credential, a paper credential will be issued on a round-by-round or game-by-game basis. Practice Credentials: All media with valid Red Wings credentials (regular season and playoffs), official photo ID from your media outlet and those listed on the visiting team credential request may attend practices without calling the media hotline. Parking: Practices: For both gameday and non-gameday practice sessions, media may park on the apron below the East steps of Joe Louis Arena and along the adjacent curb of Atwater Street/Civic Center Drive from the Cobo Hall overhang to the beginning of the curve around Joe Louis. Access to the building for all practice sessions is available at the ground level East Gate. On game days with evening start times, these parking areas must be cleared no later that 3:00 p.m. Please do not attempt to park in the East Gate s service entrance driveway. Games: Please make your parking request through you home team s PR department. A limited number of media parking spaces are available for games northwest of the arena and across Jefferson Avenue in the Joe Louis Arena Parking Garage. All other media parking is with the general public. The media parking area can be accessed while traveling West on Jefferson Avenue (beneath Cobo Hall, left lane) from downtown Detroit and turning right immediately after emerging from below Cobo. The 853 wins include the league s best win total in both the regular season (721) and Stanley Cup Playoffs (132). MAKING A POINT After earning two points in a 1-0 shootout win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on April 9 at Nationwide Arena, the Detroit Red Wings reached the 100-point plateau for the 10th consecutive season, extending their own NHL record. This also marks the 16th time in team history that the Wings have reached 100 points. The previous record of eight straight 100-point seasons was held by the Montreal Canadiens who reached the century mark from 1974-75 through 1981-82. In their first 28 years, they successfully restructured a struggling franchise that had failed to qualify for the playoffs in 11 of the previous 12 seasons. Two of the first decisions made by the new owners were to hire Jim Devellano as general manager and draft Steve Yzerman with their first selection in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft.
