Overview: Unrecognized barrel competition. No AVA membership required! All classes will be held to the most current AVA rulebook and/or guidlines, unless otherwise stated in the in the class list. For vaulters that have numbers wearing them is recommended, but not required. Entries: Entries must be complete in the CompWeb system, and payments and release forms must be postmarked by Monday, February 25th, 2019. No post entries! Release forms must be signed by vaulters, coaches and spotters prior to participation in competition. Mail payment and release forms to: Debi Pakizer 1138 Burbridge Dr. Rogue River, OR 97537 Changes: Fees: Schedule: Changes may incur a fee and will be up to competition management. Registration: $20 includes free t-shirt, please note the vaulter's size in registration! Individual classes: $12 per class Doubles, team: $10 per vaulter Lunch box (note there are limited local meal options) $5 Preliminary Order of Go will be released to coaches prior to competition. Check-in will be at 9:00 AM and the competition will start promptly at 9:30 AM. Competition may run up to 30 minutes ahead of schedule. Management reserves the right to cancel or combine classes. Awards will be given at the end of competition. Facility: Parking will be available in front of the high school. The gym will be unlocked at 8 am for teams to set up and get kids ready. Each team will have an area reserved on the gym floor. Chairs will be available for use. Please help us keep the floor undamaged so we can use this facility next year! No pets allowed anywhere on grounds.

Music: Music with words may be used for all Classes/Divisions, but is not required. Please make sure to check that all lyrics are appropriate for a public youth event. A score of 0 will be given for the content score for the freestyle if inappropriate/explicit language is used. This will be solely up to the judge's discretion. There will be one practice barrel available to use. To protect the floor, no other barrels will be permitted. No trampolines will be allowed. If any other teams have mats they would be willing to bring, it would be much appreciated! Please note vaulters shirt size in the "extras" section. Extra shirts available upon request. Lunch boxes will be a choice of sandwich or salad, chips, fruit and a water. Options will be available at competition.

Please note the following Barrel Guidelines for this competition: All "Horse" classes will run to the most current AVA rules and guidelines for horse classes. Vaulter will be scored as if they are on a horse moving at their competitive gait. The separate barrel classes are for those vaulters who have both horse and barrel routines to compete with. Aerial exercises (including flips, tucks, aerial roundoffs) will not be allowed unless the Competition Manager announces otherwise this will be dependent on whether we can provide sufficient mats. Spotters are not allowed except for as stated in the class list. No trampolines will be allowed so we can protect the floor. Boosts are allowed in classes that have it stated below, with no deduction. Tiny Tots are ages 6 and under as of January 1st, 2019. Masters must be over 18 as of January 1st, 2019. Boosts are allowed with no deduction for the following classes: Preliminary Trot, Walk, Tiny Tot, Beginning Doubles, Beginning Team, and 3 Man Team. Leaps, Ground Jumps, and M or D Dismounts are allowed in: Open, Preliminary, Trot, Preliminary Trot, Masters, fun classes, as well as all Double and Team Events Leaps, Ground Jumps, and M or D Dismounts are NOT allowed in walk and Tiny Tot. If any other dismount other than an "E" is performed in these classes a -1 deduction will be taken from content score. Individual Events Offered 31 A/B: Gold Compulsories & Freestyle - to be performed as if on a horse. R1 only, no tech test. 1 minute allowed for freestyle. Per AVA (Art. 209-211) Rules for Gold. 32 A/B: Silver Compulsories & Freestyle - to be performed as if on a horse. R1 only. 1 minute allowed for freestyle. Per AVA (Art. 209-211) Rules for Silver. 33 A/B Bronze Compulsories and Freestyle - to be performed as if on a horse. R1 only. 1 minute allowed for freestyle.
