GENERAL NOTES AND RULES FOR: IPSC BC Q7 Level III consisting of 8 Stages, 142 Rounds, 710 Points Match Location: Thompson Mountain Sportsman s Association Time: 7:30AM SHARP!!! Date: May 9 th, 2008 Advance registration is required. Rules and penalties as per current IPSC Handgun Rule Book As a condition of entry, competitors will be required to work the match. Anyone not showing up for his or her scheduled work time will be subject to DISQUALIFICATION for unsportsmanlike conduct. No exceptions. (Rule 10.6.1) Canadian competitors must have passed a Black Badge course. IPSC or USPSA membership required. Drawings are not to scale but dimensions are accurate. Due to range conditions, distances and actual layout may vary. All measurements are in metres unless otherwise specified. All competitors and spectators must wear hearing and eye protection. It is each competitor's responsibility to be on time for their scheduled shooting times. Brass picking will be allowed. One or more Safety Areas will be designated. No ammunition is allowed in a Safety Area. Lunch will be available. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed until all shooting is completed for the day and approval from Range Master or Match Director. Penalty metal and paper targets will be white. Paper targets indicating hard cover will be painted black. The painted portion will not score. Full targets will be approximately 5' to the top unless otherwise noted. There is no target engagement order from each position unless specified. Highest 2 rounds per paper target to score unless otherwise specified. Shooting boxes will be a minimum of 1-metre square unless otherwise noted. Distance between shooting positions will be 3-5 metres unless otherwise noted. Start signal is electronic buzzer and stop is last shot fired unless otherwise specified. Shooting starts at 7:30 a.m. sharp, competitors are to be at their designated stages no later than 7:15 am. Shooters arriving late for their appointed starting time may at the discretion of the range official receive a zero for that stage. On targets that are covered by No-Shoots or hard cover, at least 50% of the A zone will be available. Ports will have a maximum height to the bottom of 90 cm and will have a minimum size of 30 cm vertical (height) by 10 cm horizontal (width). This is a published match with 142 rounds, 8 stages, and 710 match points possible Early bird registration fee is $40.00 CAD/USD, postmarked no later than April 9 th, 2008. After that date the fee is $60 CAD/USD. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR THIS MATCH. Registration closes on April 23 rd, 2008. Arbitration fee is $70.00, payable with an Arbitration Form. Directions to the Range Directions from Vancouver Directions from East of Maple Ridge TMSA is located generally east of the Mary Hill Bypass just off Lougheed Highway. Cross over the Pitt River Bridge heading east. You will pass a Chevron gas station on your right hand side and go through a set of lights at the intersection of Lougheed Highway and Dewdney Trunk road. Continue until you see a shopping complex on your right hand side. Most visible is the McDonalds. Turn left at this light (Harris Road). Take your first right at the 3-way stop (Dewdney Trunk Road) Travel approximately 3km along Dewdney Trunk and turn left at Neaves Road. Travel approximately 5km along Neaves Rd, which will change names and become Rannie Rd. Turn right at Ladner Rd. There should also be a large sign indicating the Golden Eagle Golf course. Proceed through the gates of the golf course, following the road right past the Golf Course Club House and up the hill. TMSA is located behind the Golf Course. Although there are faster routes available, on your first trip to TMSA you may wish to follow a route with more visible landmarks. Try the directions given below: Travel west along the Lougheed Highway. At the corner of Harris Road and Lougheed Hwy, turn right. You should be able to see a McDonalds located here. If you cross the Pitt River Bridge, you have gone too far. Take your first right at the 3-way stop (Dewdney Trunk Road) Travel approximately 3km along Dewdney Trunk and turn left at Neaves Road.
