Entry Fees Set by Section Qualifying rounds entry fee = $50 Main draw round entry fee = $50 (additional $25 for player qualifying or accepted directly into the main draw). Doubles entry fee = $25/player Single Elimination tournaments entry fee = $65 + $1/player for doubles. 8
+L1 Designated Closed Championship Endorsement These are National tournaments and Eastern Endorsement tournaments. A player needs to retire and/or play a match in order for the tournament to count for endorsement purposes. In other words, a player who has not hit or received a single ball, cannot be viewed as having participated in the tournament. (a retirement in consolation is not required) 9
+L1 Designated Closed Championship Match Formats Full Feed In Consolation (QF) Qualifying May use a 10pt deciding match tie-break in lieu of a 3rd set with an on-court 2 minute rest period. Main Draw Must use best two(2) out of (3) sets, with a mandatory 10minute rest period after the second set. This includes the semifinal (3/4) playoff. Consolation May use a 10pt deciding match tie-break in lieu of a 3rd set with an on-court 2 minute rest period. Three day (Fri-Sun): Play out as many matches in the consolation as you can. Four day (Fri-Mon): Finish the consolation. May limit draws to 120 (optional). Doubles Eight(8) game pro set; regular scoring. 10

L2Regional & L2Open Match Formats Matches for all age divisions may use a 10pt. Deciding match tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set, with an on-court 2 minute rest period. L2Regional Events are limited to players that live in that Region. L2Open Events are open to everyone. Draws may not be limited. 18

L3 Eastern UPS CHMPS BG10-18 the format will be 2 ½ - 3 hour round robin, no ad-scoring may be used. Two formats have been approved for Level 3 event. TIMED MATCHES - For the most efficient use of court time, all matches are based on time. Therefore, all players in a particular grouping will begin and end together. Level 3 tournament directors receive a chart detailing match length and court usage. GAMES BASED This format ensures that each player play an equal amount of games. A minimum of 5 games with a tiebreaker at 4-all, though 6 games with a tiebreaker at 5-all is recommended, if time allows. 21

8U QuickStart Tournament 8 and under; co-ed event 36 court dimensions Approx. 3 hour tournament See QuickStart 8U Tennis checklist a. Court The court shall be 36 feet long by 18 feet wide, 13 feet and 6 inches from the net to the service line and 4 feet and 6 inches from the service line to the baseline. This size court shall be used for singles and doubles b. Ball The ball shall be a stage 3 (red) ball made of foam or with a fabric cover c. Racket The racket may not be longer than 23 inches d. Scoring The match shall consist of the best two out of three games. Each game shall consist of a 7-point Tiebreak, except that the players do not change ends during the game. The players shall change ends after each game. 24
10U QuickStart Tournament 10 and Under; both singles and doubles. 60 court dimensions. See QuickStart 10U Tennis Formats a. Court The court shall be 60 feet long by 21 feet wide for singles and 60 feet long by 27 feet wide for doubles. The service box is the same size as in a 78 foot court. b. Ball We suggest the use of a stage 2 (orange) ball made with a fabric cover, however a stage 1 (green) ball made with a fabric cover may also be used c. Racket The racket may not be longer than 25 inches d. Scoring The match shall be the best of three sets. The first two sets shall be short sets. The first player/team who wins 4 games wins that short set, provided there is a margin of two games over the opponent(s). If the score reaches four games all, then a 7 point tie-break will be played. If the score is one set all, then the third set shall consist of a 7-point Tiebreak to determine the winner. The players shall change ends after each odd number game and after every 6 points in the Tiebreak. 25
USTA Eastern Adult Sanctioned Tournaments
Ranked Adult Tournaments Sanctioned Ranked Tournament Sanctioned tournaments are aimed at the "ambitious" player who wishes to obtain a ranking in the 42 ranking age divisions-from "open" to 85 years of age, and includes singles and doubles. Once a player earns points they can obtain a Section Ranking. Top ranked players in age category tournaments become eligible for consideration for Cup and Team Events Competition. 27
NTRP Adult Tournaments Sanctioned NTRP Ranked Tournament NTRP tournaments are also sanctioned and ranked. These competitions are geared towards the USA League player but are open to anyone with an NTRP rating. Players in NTRP tournaments can have a computer rating (2.5 to 5.0) or can be self-rated. 28
